I wouldn't go to North, as has already been said, how much longer do they have to go? That 'window' is closing quick.

Will Richmond ever get there?

Our boys need to sell the Viney, Brayshaw, Petracca, Hogan story... its not nothing, there is something in that which must start to seem very appealing to any aspirant!

no its not, its a game of bluff atmo IMO.

#scenario 1/

Melbourne trade Howe to GCS; for P-10ish

Melbourne trade P-10ish + +?????, to Port; for Hartlett

Port trade P-10ish, to GCS for tall forward/ruck ?

Melbourne keep P-6

...............................

then possibly use P-6 in the draft, OR as part of trade bait for a Prestia ?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

#scenario 2/

Melbourne trade P-6 + ???, to Port; for Hartlett

Port trade P-10/11ish to GCS for tall forward/ruck ?

Melbourne trade Howe to ????? for ?????

........................

Melbourne have no 1st Rnd picks ?

-----------------------------------------------------

this I think maybe the holdup?

We're still in a great position to land him. More cap space and better draft pick.

And via that better draft pick, we've got the means to help them get Dixon to Port, as discussed earlier. That's why it's such a good three-way.

North Melbourne and Richmond are offering Port Adelaide's Hamish Hartlett $750k a season over 5 years according to Tony Sheahan.

Offer him $800-850k over 5 then.

North?

How can they afford to pay their "home grown" players when shelling out for Dal Santo, Waite and then Higgins?

Seems like both Scott brothers would prefer to pillage than to develop in house. Edited by AdamFarr

Are there still salary caps in place at some of these clubs? Certainly the cap does not seem to be working as an equaliser anymore.

Now reported that the demons are an unlikely destination for Hartlett.

A gun player in his prime unlikely to come to us? Colour me surprised.

Yeah it is a nice thought but coming from such a competitive, possibly top 4 side I think if he was to be moved on he would look at another finals bound team.

I hope there is a lot of focus on trying to bring Redden to the club. He has the skill set we require.

Please refer to my above post. Perhaps I wasn't joking.....?

for us slow people more info is needed

was that meant as a joke or not ......

Is that the same link that says he's considering a revised offer from the club. The offer being largely back ended.

I don't want to be one of 'those' guys, but... source? I don't need a link, just interested to know where you got it from!

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
