Incorrect. He is actually not well liked among the playing group and that is one of the reasons he is tradeable.

Would like him to come to us but despite his up and down form in 2016 the Cats will inevitably demand a first round pick for him.

Is he worth it? Debatable.

Not so sure about that. If he's on good coin, they may be happy to offload him to free up cap space. Every club will baulk at taking on his salary plus handing over a 1st round pick. The same applies with the Cloke to the Dogs deal. High salary equates to a lower pick when you're dealing with damaged goods.

If his price is a first rounder, it's not debatable, he is simply not worth a first rounder.

Actually heard that on SEN this morning which sought of shocked me. You don't hear that often being said about an AFL footballer.

Well if you are that sure I accept what you say, but there is word being put out there that it is the opposite.

I'm with you Biffen. Not a first rounder for mine but he can seriously play. Who gives a shite if he's rather chase skirt than hang out with Selwood and the overly earnest gang.

Would Essendon accept something other than a second rounder for Hibberd, and our 2nd round #27 could be used on Motlop? The club has never publicly stated they're using their 2nd round pick on Hibberd have they?

Could use next year's second rounder on Motlop (hopefully about pick 22) and this year's on Hibberd (26).

I have an idea that i'm sure will get a rousing round of applause amongst 17 clubs fans. But how about we end this drug saga at the grievance tribunal (Or threaten to) and get Hibberd for nothing (or close). The Bombers have been getting away with playing the feelgood story all year, cheering losses like they've won and now #1 pick and key player re-signings. 2nd round pick is very valuable and how much pressing need do we have to add Hibberd? If we could get Hibberd and Motlop with one 2nd round pick and another late pick or player and go through the tribunal for Hibberds "fresh start" away from their club. Then let's make a bold move. Probably too late, but food for thought.

I thought i could feel the vibes about TWSNBN  during the Brownlow Medal Night. Very little applause, if muted, for anything they did. I would be rather concerned if i was them. Did seem like they had a more than fair share of that Presentation.

When Jeff Garlett is missing from the side we rely on Ben Kennedy and Alex Neal Bullen as our next small forwards. both of them are just depth. Look at Neal Bullens rubbish performance as a small forward against Carlton to see why we need more classy half forwards.

Motlop would be a massive upgrade on them. Find it so funny that some supporters on here are bagging him and don't want him as if to say we have enough of his talent when clearly we don't. We are screaming for players like him.

For the right price we would be mad not to look at him. 100 plus games, 25 years old who's stats this year was 38 goals and 467 disposal as a midfield/half forward.

Worth no more than a fourth rounder.

We are building from the contest out. He fits the very last piece.. but no where near consistent enough. If wewere a top 4 team already, maybe.

4th rounder, you have to be joking.  If we are trading 2nd pick for Hibberd and Motlop is twice the player he is.

Motlop is a soft player who goes every 50 contests only, the rest he squibs it and waits for others to get him the ball and then he burns most of them by always having the shot instead of a pass if it's on.

He is not what we need to use a first round pick on. If we got him for a fourth then fine, get him. But with the way our team is now, I would not use a first or second and probably not a third to get him to us.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
