El oh el. And what happens to their aging midfield when O'Meara struggles to get on the park and they've spent $2mill on him?

I will admit I was smitten with O'meara pre injuries. He looked like a brownlow medallist of the future.

But I'm not willing to sacrifice our future for him. Way too risky. His knees won't hold out for another 200 games,I can't see him playing another 10 years of quality football.

So North will offer Pick 11 this year and what will likely be Pick 2 next year??

Who have you got below them? Brissy has a good run with injuries they probably win more games :P

In all seriousness, if they do get him that is fantastic for them - their first A grader since Harvey, its only been 20 years. Also glad to see them cripple themselves. Hopefully Richmond have to pay 2 picks for Prestia as well, and Freo pay through the roof for Hill, McCarthy, and Lobb.

Brisbane at this stage.  But once trade period & draft are done then you take another look.

Didn't want to over-commit and say they'll be last this early.

GCS have drawn a line in the sand, Big time.  O'Meara has asked for a trade.

GCS have said he is NOT and FA so does not have the right to nominate a club.

Therefore they will entertain offers.

Its about time a club stood up and said a player cannot call the shots and walk to where they want to go!

O'meara will just say no to every club other than the one he wants to go to and then enter the draft with a big pricetag on his head so he gets through to them.

the GC are going to achieve nothing outside of running the risk of losing him for nothing.

Yes, that is what Luke Ball did.

Or he could do the decent thing like Judd and Dangerfield and ensure GCS get fair trade value.  How he plays it will say something about the character and integrity of O'Meara.

The news wouldn't be a surprise but for some reason Eade sounded really angry.  Something has blindsided him.

Will be interesting if O'meara chooses Ess who have the 1st pick in the Preseason Draft and they pick him up there, for nothing.  Given how the AFL are bending over backwards and changing rules to help the drug cheats climb the ladder quickly they would sit back and play it like 3 wise monkeys.

I watch this trade with interest!

I would laugh so hard if the Bombers offered up pick 1 for O'meara and Prestia and ripped him out of Richmonds clutches!

Not sure Judd was of great character either...

I meant Ess could get O'Meara for a PSD pick and not their main draft #1 pick.

Maybe not but he did the right thing by WCE to ensure they got a fair trade.  If I recall - an early rnd 1 pick and Josh Kennedy.  That showed some character and integrity in my book - a lot more than Luke Ball who just crapped on the Saints who got nothing.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
