For O'Meara!

Really? This is an astounding post. O'Meara is a 22 year old with a degenerative knee condition that averages 21 disposals. He hasn't played for two years.

Tyson is averaging 25 disposals and is becoming one of our most important players. Hunt off the half back flank is almost just as valuable. Stretch is 19 and is already averaging 19 disposals - the kid will be a gun. I'd consider trading Salem, but not for O'Meara. For a player of Brad Crouch's ilk, who is able to get on the park.

Have you guys watched O'Meara play? Hunt, Stretch and Tyson aren't in his league. I want a Premiership, nothing else matters

He's a handy player Roost It but the 3 blokes you've mentioned above are on the park every week and developiing very nicely.

If we are good enough to win a flag in the next decade, I'm tipping all 3 of those guys will be playing, and playing well.

You're attached to our players, that's understandable. However I don't care who plays in our next Premiership for us as long as we win one. O'Meara is a cut above all those players and I would readily trade one of them for him

This might sound silly but before he got his injury he was also on the park nearly every week IIRC. Didn't he play every game early for his first couple seasons??

I know nothing about the injury or recovery time but if it's something that's expected to heal 100% then I would hope we are at least asking the question.

Do injuries like this continue to occur once they have began?

You're judging O'Meara on what he was, not what he now is.

He's been out of the AFL scene for 2 years now, so no-one knows what he is capable of now.

Name the last guy who played in a Premiership, after two years out of the game with a cracked Patella?

Two words - "Cooney" and "Adam".

Sensational mid before, competent mid after.

This is exactly why he's tradeable for mine too. But only for the right price. O'Meara isn't it.

Er, no. Hunt, Stretch, Tyson & Salem (and Oliver, Petracca, Brayshaw, Weid) still have massive upside to come. This is not the case with O'Meara. We'd be crazy to trade any of them before we know more about where their ceiling is likely to be.

Can understand why you'd believe that the grass must be greener on the other side of the fence, though.

You're offering one of them PLUS our 2017 1st rounder! Imprudent.

O'Meara is a class above the average player and we would be silly not to consider him. Judd, Stevie Johnson and many others have had major knee issues but played brilliant footy. Maybe O'Meara can too.

But that is not my concern. Hunt, Stretch, Tyson, Oliver etc... are playing great team footy. Why would we want to stuff that up? We are playing a brand of team footy that looks like it will pass the test of finals,  if and when we get there. To break something that works to bring in something that MIGHT work is poor decision making. If we can give something like a Grimes and a future 1st rounder, well maybe yes, but I don't want to mess with what we have currently working.

Judd had a brownlow by 22.

Did Cooney have the exact same injury but?

Just want to make sure we arent comparing apples with oranges. If Cooneys injury was the same than no way we would be interested but if it's a likely 100% recovery than I'd be asking what the price would be.

For once, or medical team would be all over his knee problems. If he has recovered and the price is within reach, we'd be cray cray not to consider it.

Rocket wants 2 top 10 picks. He will want at least the same as Prestia. $3.5 m over 5 years.

We still have to sign a handy player.

I would under no circumstances trade Dom Tyson or Jayden Hunt, Tyson has finally hit a consistent run of good form and will keep getting better, i still believe he'll be the best of our midfielders.

Jayden Hunt just adds so much to the side and his scope for improvement is insane.

I'd also consisder Billy Stretch and Christian Salem untouchable unless an insanely good offer came along.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
