After round 19: Jones & Viney tied, followed by Tyson, Gawn and Watts.

Posted (edited)

Jones with 30, 29, 29 and 25 possessions over the last four games. Will take home Bluey number four.

Wow, thought Maxy had it locked after the win against Port. Netherless, go Jonesy!

I thought Tyson played better over the last 4 weeks. I'll back him

Agreed, but I think the gap is too big to for him to make up.

I can't believe I had the impression that Jones had an average year.

Averaged 28 touches, 5.5 tackles per game.

19th in the AFL for I50s, 11th for total disposals.

Yep, two horse race from here I reckon.  Dom needs an average of 10 points more than Jones/Viney in the last 4 rounds, currently he has averaged 2 points less each round.  I can't see a 12 point turnaround when the average score of the leaders has been about 15 - he'll close the gap as he finished the year strongly, but not by much.

Viney or Jones it is.

1. Jones - 340

2. Viney - 340

3. Tyson - 300

4. Gawn - 278

5. Watts - 276

Too suspenseful...any chance of progress scores after each round, please?

it's just that other plays finally did something too. He wasn't the only one for a change.

I think that was it. I've been too excited by all of our up and coming players this year, and failed to notice how consistent our skipper has been.

Yep, and people on here were calling for his head saying he should be stripped of his captaincy and dropped to the VFL! Just the sort of culture we want to be known for...

Well done Jonesy!!

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
