Hopefully Geelong opt to rest some players in the final round.

Zero chance of that happening, they will be fighting for a top 4 spot.

Eff Geelong! Let's smash em at full strength and ruin their chance of a top 4 spot. [censored] Geelong. [censored] Mitch Blease. And [censored] Geelong, just the city in general.

I have the same feeling i had in '87.

We just might sneak in the side door this year

i hope the players all (as one) make a committment to each other to leave nothing in the tank for these last 3 games.

I agree it has the feeling of 1987. Certainly for me 1987 was a wonderful surprise, but I didn't in any way expect us go beyond the first week of the finals. We got on a roll and absolutely monstered North and then the Swans. There is nothing like momentum and we certainly had it and should have got into the grannie.

We feel as though we are building momentum this year.. Our consistency and skill levels seem to have improved in the second half of the season in stark contrast to last year. The fact that we have so many talented young players has helped in the rotation process, which has held us in very good stead as we move into August.

Just another sign of the quality group of coaches Roos has assembled.

It's a three-horse race and we have drawn the favoured barrier. Emotion (& a full list) should get us through against Carlton and we have nothing to lose throwing everything at the Cats in their (once) fortress. It's ours to lose!

I couldn't care less about losing to Essendon.

To be absolutely brutal, I couldn't care less about 87.

Its about time this club created some new history.

If things go our way, theres a good chance we would be playing the Cats in consecutive weeks.  Wouldn't that be something? Getting ahead but I wonder if it would be held at Etihad or Kardinia park? Doubt it would be at the MCG.

Dont think we will need to worry about the percentage gap between us and the Kangas for Round 23,  as it will evaporate next weekend when the Swans mash them.

I think Geelong will finish 4th and GWS finish 5th. Geelong have some percentage boosting wins coming up.

I think if Geelong finish fifth the match would be at the G.  I did the ladder predictor this morning and assuming we beat Geelong, and the other matches go to script (albeit I have the Eagles to beat Hawthorn over there which is line ball) then the first week of the finals would look like Sydney 1st v GWS 4th (SCG or Telstra), Adelaide 2nd v Hawthorn 3rd AO, Geelong 5h v Melbourne 8th (MCG) Bulldogs 6th v WestCoast 7th (Etihad).   as Thom York would say 'Nice Dream'.

Perhaps, but it depends on which Geelong turns up.  They've been sublime some weeks and absolutely putrid others.  Remember they lost to Collingwood when the Pies were pretty awful themselves.

We're hitting Carlton at the right time.  Both sides have travelled, but we won comfortably with quite a few who can improve on their performances  and they lost to a side that was smashed by 20 odd goals the previous week.  They're as flat as a pancake right now-  Cripps is on one leg and they haven't won a game since Murphy was injured.  I think they might have put the cue in the rack for the season.

Exactly.  The forum boss man last night also said "please don't get ahead of ourselves" or something like that.  Pssh to that, I say.  I consider it my duty as a supporter to get as far ahead of myself as possible.  As long as the players don't, then I reserve the right to get as carried away as I like.

As the site has been done up recently, and we are nothing to do with census taking? There wouldn't wouldn't be any chance of it going down for the next several weeks, touch wood?

Agreed. I think the lid is officially off.

I wish I had known that. Investing $100 for a potential $2.5 Million payout is better than TattsLotto.
