I think we are about to see one of the all time massive sprays at quarter time. Roo's looks most unimpressed.

Surprising we don't have more hamstring injuries, the amount of times players, running at full tilt, have to try and get the ball that is passed to their feet or the ground.

Does Roos ever spray?

Why do we hold onto the ball for so long...

Absolute crap.

Good to see that with the season nearly over we still overuse the handball. We learn fast don't we?!

What a [censored] disgrace. Jones calling for those stupid cheapies and then putting team mates under pressure. Show some leadership. Already bereft of leadership out there.

I don't think we could be playing any worse, so the only way is up from here.

We've come out not switched on at all, almost as if we think it's going to happen.  That's not good enough and it shows in our run, spread and disposal, but I'm hopeful that they get a real rocket from Roosy and they play as they did last week in the second term.

That was the worst quarter of football in a long time.

I'd love to know the structure the coaches are trying to implement because what the players are dishing up is childish garbage.

That was pathetic. Dawes the worst player in the AFL.

They look so out of it.

Cue in the rack stuff.

Will we ever learn...

I think if we just handball it another300 times, we just might learn how to turn it over more and put our selves under more pressure.

Disposal. Really poor. Would love to see the "Marks from opposition kicks" stat.

Kicking ourselves out of it.

After last weeks game I was looking forward to this week, then we deliver this rubbish. Really starting to get over it, very disappointing.

Bit harsh when our players can't hit a target from 30 metres away under no pressure.

Roos looked a bit more animated at the huddle than usual. But I wanted to see him totally lose it.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
