It's not like playing a Hawthorn or Sydney when they are just genuinely more skilled than us. We are better than this mob but just have not figured out how to beat them

FFS!!!! We are NOT better than them. How much evidence do you all need. They're not just better, they're 30 points better at least. Results DON'T lie!

Wow, bet no Melbourne supporter saw this result coming. /sarcasm

Yeah, let's just make two changes to the exhausted Darwin squad! An underdone Brayshaw, an underdone Wagner, and leave in an injured McDonald and Vince.

Christ this club is amateur sometimes. You just lost this way 2 months ago to this exact same club -- did ANYBODY research that game and formulate a new plan?! ANYONE???

If it makes you feel better mate.

Here it is for you in one sentence: Tired or not, no changes that you can name would make a shred of difference to this result.

That's the other side of the problem.

We lack leaders when the stakes are high.

Does Hamish get off on constantly quoting all these horrific stats?

Everyone know we've been [censored] Hamish you tool.

Are you actually watching the game? You honestly think we don't look tired already?

Yes I am wathing, thanks very much.

We look exactly like we did the last time we lost to St Kilda, and we didn't play in Darwin that time.

In fact, we look similar to every time we lose this year.

No leaders. Lazy (not just tired). Dumb. Error-laden. Kids having down days at the same time. Going backwards 40 metres when we should be playing on.

There is so much more to this than fitness. You make it sound like another 1 or 2 personnel changes would fix all the problems.

LOL.

Nathan Jones, in his career, is 2-41 against St Kilda, North and Hawthorn.

Needs to step aside from captaincy at years end.

Again, we don't have a midfield. We have a collection of midfielders.

And tell me about the changes we made last time we played the Saints...

Seeing a pattern about Etihad yet?

You would think that if you only watch the saints when we play them. They have played some truly terrible football this year.

If only it were just that, deanox.

I really think that is it.

When we give up the insideball easily everything else falls apart.

And Hogan keeps us his record as missing fairly easy shots when we desperately need one.

You're not actually watching are you? He landed on his coccyx in the second quarter, the same one that kept him out for a year. He's been on and off the bench getting treatment.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
