Christ most of us think we have had it tough, that takes the cake.

Not when you consider the number of losses over the last twelve years Cards13.

I have not been to a win this year attended only losses.

Unexpected omission!? Looks like the coaches are serious about players who don't perform.

Garlet would want to play a big game.

Looks like he will have to wait a bit!

And Oxley out for Collingwood. Average player but killed us last QB.

Not to mention Cloke being dropped as well.  He has been putrid but it's still a relief as I had this nightmare of him kicking 6.

Garlett being dropped is 50/50 for me too - on one hand he is such a dangerous player in our forward 50, but on the other hand it sets a good precedent - the moment you don't do the team things and your form drops, you're out.  Good message to send for the long term.

Good to see Jeff Garlett being held accountable for his putrid form.

Ive said it already but last week was probably the worst game Jeffy has ever played...couldnt believev what I was seeing and Im a big fan.  Maybe he's injured or maybe he hates the wet or...?? But either way with another wet game coming up we cant carry him. We will  already be carrying Dawes.

Our Backline looks very inexperience..

True, but have you taken a look at their forward line?  It's not much chop either.

Jeff had 3 major brain fades last week:

-when he misjudged the flight of Dawes' kick and ran under it.

-rather than make it a 2 on 1 contest and help Hogan, Jeff waited to run into an open goal assuming Jesse would win the contest.  He didn't.  Ball went straight down the other end. (Ist qtr I think).

- in the last quarter he had the ball outside our 50.  Only 1 player near him, a few metres behind. A paddock in front of him to an open goal.  He clearly didn't want to bounce it because of the conditions.  Fair enough.  But instead of doing it the hard way and run and bend to touch the ball to ground, he took a wild kick.  It went out on the full.

I wouldn't say any of those plays cost us the game.  But all those were at critical times in the game and they cost us.

Love watching him play so wish he was there on QB but not unhappy the coaches enforcing required behaviours.

Is one of those the Gibson contest? I thought that was the worst, refused to take any body contact.

I'd rather him play. Their forward line has worked much better with him out. Although that's also been with Moore in.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
