I would love that but Blicavs plays in the midfield, something that i think Frost could do but if they are not gonna give him a run there then he wont ever develop the same attributes required. I would just like them put Frost on a wing for a game and see what happens

Poor Angus is really having the season from hell at the moment. Bloke can't catch a break. Between his knee and his 2nd? concussion already this year we are unlikely to see him show any decent form in the 1's until the second half of the year. Silver lining is that this should give ANB or Stretch a crack at it at some stage to see where they are currently at.

As for changes, Matt Jones should play if he is available, he played his role adequately when he got picked and doesn't have an issue with consistent work rate in regards to running. Oliver should come in too. I'd like to see Hunt and Wagner get picked but one of them may be dropped this week. I guess selection depends on how we want to counter GCS leg speed through the middle and what exact plan we have on stopping Lynch.

Frost has to be dropped. Oliver has to come in. Harmes/Hunt also on the chopping block would like to see ANB get a run or Stretch given another go. He only had one game before being dropped from memory and he wasn't too bad.

Would like to see ANB rewarded for his form, has been sensational for Casey. I'd drop Harmes before Hunt, just to give him another week. Showed nice dash a couple of times on Saturday, and that's something that our back line is lacking. 

Stretch probably needs another good performance before he is back in the frame.

You are either a contributing member of the team or you are not. If you need to "get there" as a player - get there at Casey. Now there are team members who play specific roles and may not be as productive as others but are doing the job for the team. I am not sure I see Frost doing that at the moment. I won't write him off as I think he has upside  - but he needs to show some of the upside and as far as I am concerned it can be at Casey.

You are either a contributing member of the team or you are not. If you need to "get there" as a player - get there at Casey. Yeah exactly. I dont really want the weed in either i would be content with him not playing a game all year but if they have to play one that is not up to it would rather a player bursting with skill/talent playing underdone than a player who is no more than an athlete. On a solution type note: I would play Dunn as a forward and bring in OMac to play down back

He is young and has the talent i just think we should let him play the year at casey continue to get better then we can bring him in next year. Maybe give him a few games later in the year so he gets a taste but there is no sense rushing the kid in just to show him off when we dont need to.

But what if there is a glaring hole in the sides requirements and it can only be filled by a player that is developing their craft? Because at the moment, this is kind of how it is. If there was clear option to replace Frost, by all means send him back to Casey to work on his game. But at the moment there isn't. Perhaps when Dawes returns, depending on his form, Frost can make way.

my bad forgot about Kent defiantly in the starting 22 when at his best!! only thing separating him from an above average player to a great player is his consistency.

I agree to the extent that if a hole can only be filled by someone learning their craft or worse, no other option, then yes - and I see a couple of those and they are "if" scenario's

• if Gawn goes down ( please god no !!! actually I am an atheist but you get my drift) - then we have to settle for Spencil and if it happened earlier than last week maybe KIng
• if we start to lose defenders then Oscar McDonald can come in

However I see Frost differently to some others - we have Watts and Hogan as our tall forwards with Gawn dropping in there on the occasion. That leaves the third tall spot for either Frost or Pedersen and I see more value in Pedersen ( at this stage) - The Weed and Hulett are young and developing and I dont't include them in the mix ( yet) 

• if Pedersen goes down with injury, Dawes is not fit  and The Weed and Hulett aren't ready - then Frost for sure.

 

Until that time i want him back at Casey making a strong case to be either played forward or back.

I wouldn't at all be surprised if Ablett is targeted for a rough-up. With what's come out in the media this week about internal rumblings at GCS that Ablett has softened his attack on contested possession, he would be ripe for the picking. A bit of sledging, a few hard tackles and I reckon he'd be pretty influential.

Really interested to see how the Suns respond, 120 point smashing, 2 hour honesty sessions where everyone had serious questions asked of them, even guys who probably thought they were untouchable. 

I personally think they'll sook and we'll give them a touch up by 10 goals.

We lost to Hawthorn by 105 points last year and came out the next week and beat the Bulldogs.

It's hard to evaluate form from one round to the next.  

What gives me confidence is their outs: Swallow, O'Meara, May, McKenzie, Thompson, Rischitelli, and hopefully Saad.  Also, Ablett is never at his best playing sore.

They were saying Saad was going to play this week, even before the Geelong game, so he'll play.

GC are a far better side at Metricon and will be very hard to beat this week.

I cannot fathom how posters can be confident going into this one.
