Is anyone elses head spinning?  Im trying to wrap my head around the awesomeness of what I just witnessed and the fact we have won 2 in a row and we arent a basket case any more and have an insane amount of talent and toughness

This may take some time to process

I fear you are right. Though how a deliberate foul act by Rance can be the same penalty as what Viney did, only the AFL and its stooges can say.

Ranges will get 1, and they can't give Viney the same so he'll probably get nothing.

I'd be more worried aboutVince's short elbow to the head..

This is unacceptable and Paul Roo's needs to hand over the reigns NOW! How dare he ruin our records that we hold dear.... winning two on the trot is just not on.

I feel strange and don't know how to handle this situation... My dog is behaving oddly and is waiting for my normal end of weekend tourettes. Jeezus!

And Jack Viney get 3 votes for beaning Rance!

Go Dees!

Richmond fans saying he often thumps the ground in frustration... clutching at straws replay shows him looking directly at his head. What a scum bag, why the sympathy for him? I don't know Rance's history..

I just read that one.  Classic.

Quote

My son has noticed that Rance sometimes punches the ground when the opposition takes a mark on him. If you notice, he was not looking at Watts when he did it. Just wondering perhaps he didn't realise Watt's head was there as he slid over him. Totally out of character, that is why I suggest this even though it seems far fetched.

Rance = Rancid. Sniping reminiscent of Jimmy O'Dea on John Greening.

I think I need to you pull you up on that one. Rance was dumb and he will get a little time but he was not thumped behind play and put into a coma.

I'm liking the direction the game seems to be taking. A fair dose of mongrel exhibited amongst the play to go with the new game style.

If the AFL want to preserve the game, please don't sanitise it any further.

The balance is currently about right.

Happy with that.  If we can play like this all year we'll win more often than not.  The top teams will still have us, but we're right in the mix for the middle tier

I will say I think Viney has just made a spot in the side for Petracca next week.  I can see he and Rance both going for a week.

RUBBISH wasn't even a free kick

Too hard at the man. Too hard on the spread. We attacked with vigour from half back and we now have players capable of doing it who will only get better. They came at us multiple times sometimes due to our turnovers but we composed and bounced back each time.  Dom Tyson best game in a long time. Kent now starting to show what he can do over a game rather than cameos. The beauty is we won well and controlled the game and have much more improvement that will come with development and confidence even within is year.

Hogan with no goals but he took ten awesome marks

Hogan was great today, ran hard, chased, bought the ball to ground, stayed in the contest.

he would be in the best handful on the ground had he kicked straighter

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
