Changes v Collingwood

picket fence

Recommended Posts

Players will be dropped  in relation to our opponent - Collingwood, who are dominated by a whole pack of B grade midfielders.

I would love Peders in for Frost, but we need Frost's height and speed as a DEFENDER to counter Moore so this change is unlikely.

Garlett comes in for sure but I can only think of Bugg to be dropped and they play so differently it is not a good swap.

Bernie will go for a few weeks, so Brayshaw comes back in.

AVB has been seriously disappointing so far this season.

I still think we brought him back in to the seniors too soon.  I think he needed a few weeks at Casey to get rid of the cobwebs after his injury but he wasn't given the chance.  Plus it seemed as though he was going to spend plenty of time in the midfield, yet he has been stuck up forward for the majority of it.

Ok thankyou. So who played on Waite/Brown/Petrie? And how did Stretch and Wagner play? Either of them to be dropped?

They rotated on them.  Dunn and McDonald spent most of the time on them, while I believe Lumumba spent some time on Brown as well.  I'm not totally sure on that though, others at the game might be able to give more insight.

Stretch was handy, Wagner was just okay.  Both should keep their spots for next week.

Vince will get 1, maybe 2 depending on how inconsistent the MRP want to be.

IN - Brayshaw, Garlett

Out - Vince, Stretch (didn't do anything wrong as such, just reckon we need to give AVB more time).

The other thing is - I don't want to see Frost play as a forward ever again. The experiment surely needs to be marked a fail at this point. Maybe bring Pedo in, and move Frost back.

I also don't want to see Howe play a flukey cameo and rub it in that he left, the pea heart. Presumably Lumumba gets the match up or maybe Wagner, - wouldn't be shocked if the brought Garland back to play on him (not saying i want that to happen, before all the hate is directed my way.

If Howe gets another game after the (lack of) effort he put in on Saturday then Collingwood are in big trouble. He was a ghost.

They won't drop him after one game especially when he is coming against his old club.

I think we've seen the last of Garland.  Hallelujah!

Also think Jeffy is a definite in,  whilst one of ANB and Brayshaw gets a run.

Maybe in: Jeffy,  Brayshaw

Out: Vince,  Stretch

I don't think they'll drop him either due to the circumstances, but that's because they are in big trouble. His effort was pathetic and he'd be dropped in any other team any other week.

Frost, M Jones, Harmes, Kent. will be in the gun.

we won't see Petracca or Trenners, ANB, Brayshaw, Garlett and Pedders should come in. I doubt weeds would come in either.

No room for Pederson IMO. Harmes had five tackles and wouldn't be first out for me. Kent did kick four. For my money two changes is enough for a team that could have just as easily taken the points.

Garlett in for Wagner.

Someone in for Frost.

Regardless of todays outcome, given Casey Form last night I have both Weeds and Petracca in next week vs Collywobles!

The rest I will think about after todays game!

Looking at reports from those who actually attended the Casey game, I don't think anyone said the Weed was ready for a game yet, but you obviously know better.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
