Degrees of bacon? Piggy Dunstall - Darren Jarman - Sean Wellman - oh I seriously can't. Whoever comes up with the longest, most circuitous route from Jason Dunstall to Prestia with as many degrees as possible wins.

Just an interesting [censored] bit FWIW (around zero).

Dion Prestia's management team is i50 and his manager is Marty Pask who also coaches VAFA B Section team AJAX. One of his players at that club is AJ Thurin, son of MFC Board member David Thurin.

I think it's time to take the tin foil off your head WJ.

AJAX Football Club and Bacon?

Now that's a stretch!

Hmm son of Thurin. Is that the Dwarf king in the Hobbit.

This is what I heard this morning from a credible source via a GCS players father.

O'meara, Swallow and Prestia all want out of GCS. All 3 are particularly filthy on how their rehab has been handled but especially Swallow who the source said was rushed through his running program which resulted in the bone bruising which has delayed his recovery.

Source also went on to say that majority of players were happy with McKenna and the development job he'd done with the young players but as they matured, believed he was too soft and went easy on them thereby creating the behavioural misdemeanours by many of the players.

Eade, on the other hand has come into the club and acted like a Hitler and upset a lot of players and staff and it's not a happy camp up there at all.

Lastly, many of the playing group are not happy with how GAJ is pampered to and believe that his dominance in such a young team actually retarded the 'teams' development.

All sounds perfectly logical to me. I'm not surprised by anything you said because it sounds exactly like McKenna (good developer but too nice, let standards slip) and exactly like Eade (pendulum swung too far in the opposite direction to "discipline" the list). Neither strategy works.

As with all things, balance is the key to success. Where Roos came into the Demons and balanced the criticism with cuddles, Eade simply isn't the type to sugarcoat his sprays.

Layer on top the questionable leadership of Ablett, the guy fawned over as the "difference between the Suns winning or losing", and it's not hard to see why players have checked out.

There is some awesome, awesome footage of Eade in the Footscray coaches box absolutely doing his nana about Minson.

Cameron has to ask him three times to stop screaming as he's trying to relay a message down to the bench.

Some of the most hilarious footage I've ever seen. It'll never be released as its decidedly un-PC.

Would take any three of these boys if available at the right price and they can show they're over their injuries.

Sound familiar. You'd think everyone would have learnt from our experience.

Started with Bailey who apparently was too friendly and soft with the players. Reacted by appointing Neeld who came in with the big stick and we know how that ended.

Why settle for one? Image two, or all three. Get these guys and we are close to top 4.

Who's a possibility for not being at MFC in 2017 that will free up SC space? Dawes, maybe Watts and Grimes as RFAs? We also have some extra space in 2017 with the Milkshake cap rule.

Get it done PJ.

At least have the guts to explain what issue you have with Moonshadow's post rather than a lazy 1 word insult. People reading the forums would rather

GC's injury list was horrific last year just as they were seen as a team that could contend for a finals spot. Players tend to be disgruntled when they're losing and the club isn't meeting expectations. The coach always cops it in the neck.

If Roos was still coach in 2 years time, and we had a long term injury list of Brayshaw, Petracca, Viney and Oliver, how do you think people will judge Roos' tenure?

Having said that, everything that McQueen stated sounds plausible.

Isn't he a WA boy? If not Arden St I'm sure Freo or WCE would try to do some sort of deal if they have any currency.

Big if you.

Tell us Curry, IYHO which first year player shouldn't get a game until later in the season, only for us to see them play nearly every game and star? Last year you stood firmly against Brayshaw getting a game. Is it Oliver this year? Perhaps Tracc? Bwahaha!

as long as we are waltzing in and taking the three best midfielders from a club are you sure you wouldn't like to target Freo instead? What am I saying, let's get all 6. It's a free for all. get it done PJ.

Yeah, that's exactly what I said.

A while back there was a rumour that he would eventually like to play his footy in Melbourne (the city) whilst Andrew was still running around for North.

Not sure if that had substance, but I don't think the go home factor would be an issue for him.

Maybe it's me but strangely I'm a little underwhelmed as such. If he comes and fit. Good. If not..we move on.

We've got a bit of talent to work with now. Don't need 'silver bullet' players any more.

Really not that fussed.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
