@Bitter but optimistic has just texted me saying he's too busy clicking through the Asian lady sites to post anymore. So there's one good side to the ads! ?

Well thank you for publicising my business Moonie !!!

However, it seems my literary style is as popular as ever. All these lovely ladies are proclaiming their love for me after a single communication !

Just wait until I forward a selfie

On a related note, we should all pitch in to drive traffic to the MFC site as well - as it could have a later impact on sponsorship dollars if there's a severe dip in numbers. Set it to launch automatically with your browser perhaps.

Keep on truckin' Demonland.

just leave the browser tab for demonland open when you shut down browser.   in browser settings take option to auto restore all tabs left open.

i have demonland and a few other sites open all the time, never have to start (or stop) them

No problems Andy

Will be interesting to see what the advertising bot sends my way ?

I was wondering why I was bombarded with life size Allen Jackovich doll adds, I swear I only googled it once...

:roos:

Thanks, Andy.  I’m cool with that.  Think this is but a small sacrifice in the current climate.  Good luck to everyone.

That's the cookies from your porn site visits doing their thing.

I live a boring life. The ads I'm seeing are for Officeworks and something called a Seniors Posture Corrector.

Ads are fine but happy to pay fee annually.

Its the best value for Monet entertainment I have.

Please provide a bsb and account so I can transfer.

Don't worry will use donation feature.

when you get a moment Andy would you care to comment on the monetisation algorithm used by the site hosting company (not your revenue...just the methodology).

The reason I ask is that the youtube algorithm is very specific with different topics giving rise to different click revenues not to mention the location of the viewer. For example  financial videos get some of the highest revenue and can be up to six times the value per click of a travel video .

Never know with a little judicious discussion we might be able to get the revenue per click up by all pretending to be stockmarket gurus.

Good question, although I wonder what might happen if we find out that "adult-oriented advertising" has the highest revenue-per-click.

"I only click on it for the Demonland revenue" will be the 2020 version of "I only buy Playboy for the articles"

Every time i see the Astrology predictions for 2020 ad i laugh ?

Not this year fellas!!!

My horoscope this year said "you will get closer to loved ones this year despite losing something you love"

Oh dear, has it been fulfilled yet??

Bit rough having ads for 'lady friends' when they know we can't go out and use those services...

So can we donate more and nix the ads? Its one of the reasons i stay off big footy.

You can always donate here: https://demonland.com/forums/clients/donations/

if you saw what Demonland generated in Ad revenue last month and what it usually generates even with the Ads turned on to life members then you wouldn’t ask to have them switched off.

The server bill I just paid was huge. Without the ads this site would not exist.

Not a huge amount but flicked $20 the sites way. It’s the cost of a few takeaway coffees a week or for you Melbournian’s the cost of your lactose-free freshly squeezed skinny breast milk lukewarm weak 3/4 decaf latte.

No refund needed , i sent more LOL

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
