So whos better,  Oliver or Trac?  I can't split them.

They compliment each other so well.  A lot of teams would kill to have a player of that caliber and we have two of them.  What a time to be alive.

I’d say the opposite. Oliver is more consistent at his designated role (inside midfielder), but Petracca is a better footballer overall.

Oliver i'd say is a better ball winner, better defensively, and better at his role, however Petracca is probably the more talented of the two.

Petracca and Oliver have very different skill sets and have very clearly defined  but different roles within the team. The great part is that both are performing at high level and driving the team performances.

I also like the fact that they feed off each other in the games. Not that they look to move the ball on to each other to the detriment of the team but they seem to have an awareness of position that allows them to react instinctively. 

Great to have both of them in the team.

He didn't test well at the start of the year because it was his first true year in the TAC system and came off zero pre season and I mean zero . He has always had a elite football ability however has had to learn to be more than just a turn up Thursday night play Saturday player which he has done admirably . His ability to perform against men has been the key for me . Played in the midfield in the strong GVFL comp as a 17 year old and was getting BOG's . Likewise stood up and got plenty of it in the VFL when playing as 23rd man for us this year . If he is available we take him and he becomes a instant best 22 inside mid . it was put to him at the start of the year he needed to play like Rockcliffe who was also a bushranger and then later in the season like Cripps . Oliver has been on the radar for almost 10 years he was encouraged by his fav club to play like that and this comes from being directly privy to some of these events or conversations with his father , Steve . I don't h believe that a 17 / 18 year olds career is moulded in 8-9 months .

He's from Echuca, where his Father also played football and his Mother netball. Todd Viney lived in Echuca for years and I suspect he knows a great deal about Oliver and his pedigree. Maybe he doesn't want to let another Ollie slip. And he seems to play in a very similar fashion, although he has better pace and sideways movement.

He doesn't look like he's an elite kick, but his hands are fantastic and 70% disposal efficiency for an i.m is terrific.

Best of all, he's a goal kicking inside mid - 20 goals from 16 games.

Everything stacks up with this guy. He's the real deal.

I love his dedication to become the best of the best, unfortunately the demons selected Weideman (selection 9) and not Harry Mckay (selection 10) but the boy is more like his dad and not his grandfather, lack of mungral or as Ray Jordan would say C***.

Doesn't seem to have the 'silk' factor which you probably want to see at a pick 3 but it seems you like you would get a bona fide inside mid workhorse in the mould of, say, a Dane Swan or Oliie Wines....

Our forward line would be a little scary if we picked McKay over Weideman.

But, you can't win them all and our drafting has been terrific these past 3-5 years.

I'm surprised that I'm not quoted in it he definitely wasn't the talk of the town Parish was but I'm glad we have Clarry it's quite scary that we have 3 of the top 4 footballers in the land Gawn at 1 Clarry at 2 Bont at 3 and Trac at 4. Parish wouldn't be in the top 20.

I disagree with the order. Clarry for mine is number 1. We will find out on Saturday. Hopefully it's not Bont!
