The workhorse put in some handy games as a forward/ruckman before breaking his hand in mid-season.

The forgotten man

He was great in every game he played. Was a better CHF decoy than Dawes. A better option, a better mark, more effective, faster, harder, more influential.

Far better value than either Dawes or Frost as a key forward / ruck option, and I can't understand why he was not in the team from round 1. I'm not sure why he hasn't been given a new contract yet given our lack of options in these positions.

Both your questions could probably be answered with the same answer: the people in charge don't share your view on this player.

given he is probably on half of what Dawes is on, can take a mark, can kick a goal and doesn't get in Hogan's way, i say this bloke is very handy for us and should be in our best 22. Is he the answer for us forever? At his age no. But will he be a fantastic filler and play good footy whilst we draft/trade/develop someone else? Absolutely.

The Pedo has my tick of approval.

Apparently he's stoked Song.

We missed Cam after he was injured, which suggests he is 'best 22' (or thereabouts) given our current list. He's no world beater, but he is a versatile tall, and at worst provides strong depth, even more so now that Fitz has been de-listed. I hope we can recruit or develop a strong KPF or 2nd ruck option, but until we have a player who is a lock for these roles, then Pedo is a 'must keep' I reckon.

I doubt they would be silly enough to underrate him give our lack of key position depth. He's been far more consistent than Dawes and provides healthy competition for selection. Easy decision to give him another year.

Works hard. Tries hard. Runs hard. Takes a good catch and doesn't murder the ball.

Has become an honest footballer.

yep best 22 for sure, love hardened experienced players, vince is great example

29 next year

7 games for 6 goals this year.

A bit of a hot and cold type player I think

I would hope that they would offer a one year contract

he is slightly better than dawes

I agree that he ought to be kept. Just offering a simple explanation to the question so many people seem to be scratching their heads over (why Dawes seems to get picked first).

i think it more comes down to the fact Dawes is on big money and Pedo isn't. If you have a player getting paid 500k+ a season to play in the VFL, it is kind of embarrassing.

HMMMMMMM these the same people who extended Terlich?I wonder.

Doubt the coach gives a fat rat's clacker what the players' salaried are when he's picking the side, song.

Good for Pedersen, and still probably not a whole lot of money so the club is definitely getting great value out of him.

Here's to an injury-free run and locking down the second forward role ahead of Dawes.

All this fawning of Pedo is frankly embarrassing. Has grown into some mythical beastly quick glue handed CHF while being out injured... #PedoMyths

Sounds like the Six Million Dollar Man, but he comes at an Aldi price. Hope he has been rebuilt even better with a bionic hand, but I'd just be happy to have the 2015 Pedo back on the park and firing in the 1s.

then i think your reason is silly.

?

If you reckon the coach whips out a spreadsheet with everyone's salary on it before picking the side, I reckon your reasoning is silly. His job is to pick the best side and leave the administrative crap like salaries to others.

Unless you're suggesting Josh Mahoney picks the side - which is also pretty silly.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
