Nothing could drive Leunberger's price into band 1 compo. No club will pay 600k for Leunberger.

I think at the very most, and only if a side really wanted Leunberger, they'll offer 500k.

But that is absolute maximum IMO, he just hasn't been on the park enough, hasn't always performed, and is injury prone.

Kreuzer on the other hand, he has performed, has more upside, is more versatile (can play forward), but is probably even more injury prone than Leunberger.

I think teams are running a big risk to trade for either player, I seriously doubt there will be a price war for them.

I hope Carlton don't get pick 2, I would be extremely surprised if they did. And Leunberger is at best a band 2 compo prospect.

The back up ruck to Gawn has to be someone who can play in Hogan's Forwardline.

I don't think we want a big lump in the square because I would prefer to have Hogan deep - watching Gawn spoil Hogan constantly against Carlton made me cringe about what a lumbering back up ruckman might be to that forward line.

We would need someone who is mobile and can spend most of his time on 50 or outside and then can give Gawn a breather for 5 mins a quarter.

I don't see Kreuzer as that. There are very few players that are that. Mitch Clark (lol) was that.

Kreuzer is good around the ground because he plays as a ruckman against a ruckman, as a CHF, I would play a smaller, mobile CHB on him and beat him on the ground and run off him.

I would do the opposite, to me Hogan is the old style CHF, but these days with a 5 man forwardline, the CHF starts in the goal square & leads up from there, & doubles back as his fitness can handle.

I would have a power marking hustle & bustle big fella with bulk from the pocket who is a smart operator... not a gawnus maxim type. I think Kreuzer is smart & will learn that role, to block when appropriate, & to go hard when that's needed, & knows how to use the ball to the small players.

he's the right build right now, we don't have to wait for him to fill out, & just needs to become familiar with the role.

I don't know anything about Josh Walker, but to me we need this role player to have the ability to be really mean, a bastard to the opposition. has to hurt them... anyone getting in front, must learn to think one, two, three times, before doing it ever again.

no more J Whites or mr mortons.. this role is for a mongrel. the cats King would have been perfect.

he's not worth band 1 compo... he has to be viewed by potential clubs as a temp solution to needs. 2 yrs at a time. he is talented but not worth long term contract risk. but we need him 2 or 3 years with games played allowance.

According to Carolyn Wilson he's pretty much failed to satisfy both the Pies and Dogs of his fitness (his foot is no good). Hard to see him anywhere but at the Blues. Surely they won't get Band 1 compo for Henderson - not that Brock McLean's comments mean anything, but its nice to see leopards don't change their spots.
