2015 FINALS

How many touches for O'Rourke tonight?

Chip isn't the reason they won tonight.

The point isn't what these players have done or haven't done tonight but how Hawthorn are allowed to top up their side. O'Rourke is handy depth and may prove to be a good pick up. Also, while Frawley hasn't won the game for Hawthorn, he shut down Matthew Pavlich for the majority of the game. Edited by Demon Jack

Taberner and Sheridan not Afl standard. You just can't have these guys out there. We need to heed these lessons. Plus playing injured players is such a huge risk. Hawks look awesome. Assuming Weagles win I see a reversal in result, ie Hawks again. I did think to be fair Frawley played v well. Interest level next week will be pretty low.....from many of us I expect

I totally understand where you're coming from, but....

Living in WA and hearing for the last month how it's going to be an all WA grand final and putting up with their feral supporters, it's not all bad.

you know what's really bad? Living in WA and never being able to watch the Dees live. Ouch.

Another Hawks win, no injuries, Gunston will be fit next week and a full list available for the Granny for the third year in a row! The Dawks were the better side, the umpires absorbed the early Freo pressure and then they took control. Freo has about 5 players who are a liability at this level.

I don't think I can watch the GF next week with Frawley playing in it. Genuinely makes me sick.

In saying that, Fremantle primed itself for finals and couldn't perform. Hardly beat Sydney who were out on their feet, then pretty comprehensively beaten tonight. Need to learn to score a bit more.

I'm sick of Hawthorn but they have traded brilliantly, no harm in that.

They've traded as well as they have lured free agents.

The successful clubs continue to attract the talent, whether via trade or FA. They can afford to trade first round picks because they're not as desperate for top-end talented youth. It's another reason I hate them.

I meant that they will move into 3rd place on the most premierships won ladder. It's Carlton/Essendon equal first with 16, Collingwood next with 15 and Hawthorn and us on equal 3rd with 12.

All good, my bad. I've been skipping between Demonland and two different group messages. Rapid fire all round.

Lyon destroying Freo with a total misunderstanding of how to play Hawthorn.

He's pushing players back deep into defence and allowing them to control the ball further up the ground. They are chipping it around with no pressure then finding the gaps to move forward & score.

This guy was rated the best coach in the AFL by many, he's an amateur tonight.

You don't play Hawthorn this way, you must, must, must put pressure on the ball carrier.

Unfortunately it was obvious from the first few minutes that Freo, even though hitting the scoreboard were playing it this way, not enough pressure on the ball carrier and it's now come back and bitten them on the a....

Unless they change the plan it's game over.

Come on Rossy, show us why you get the accolades and why you are on the big bucks...

Will run this again...but it looks like Lyon is not the man to take them to the prize.

Not the great coach he is made out to be, he's not a finisher.

There's the difference.

Hawks, couple of pats on the back, very low key. They know it all means nothing. They play to win flags.

Rewind to Norths carry on last week.

Tells the story.

Turn it up, seriously, it's easy to be nonchalant about winning preliminary finals when you've made four consecutive grand finals.

The majority of North's list won't have played in one, let alone won three flags.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
