No one is talking about the "Bloods culture" tonight.

I thought they were pretty good considering the injury list...

North had to fight it out and broke them at the end.

As I said earlier... I thought they were totally inept. Poor kicking, poor decision making, terrible defence for the most part and nothing happening up forward.

I predicated that Sydney where a fake top 4 side, rang kb's show hungry for sport with Greg D, just before the finals, and told them so the tigers are pretenders, north were laughing once they new who would be the teams they where going to play in the finals.

Serves Sydney right they put all their eggs in the one basket, when they signed buddy on that long term deal i knew it would not end well, they went away from the bloods culture, can't help thinking some Sydney players who have taken a pay cut thinking to himself why should i put my body on the line? When million dollar man is having a cry, now i am not making light for mental illness but some will feel that way.

They were horrible, North slightly less horrible.

Don't really rate any side bar the top 3...I think it will fall as to the end of season ladder now.

I hope you are right Rjay. Unfortunately I think the top 3 might reverse with the Dawks knocking over Freo and then the Weagles.

A very unusual story where the Bulldogs have asked the AFL to investigate a leak of their game plan for the Elim Final to the Crows: http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/western-bulldogs-bring-in-afl-to-investigate-leak-to-adelaide-crows-20150922-gjsmi7.html

"It is understood defender Michael Talia, whose brother Daniel is the Adelaide full-back, is at the centre of the investigation. Talia, who is out of contract and likely be traded, did not play in the last three games of the season, including the final in question. Fairfax Media understands that the club had been concerned that information - specific to the elimination final - had been passed from younger to older brother."

Probably very innocent brotherly chat over a drink or the family dinner table.

Still, pretty dumb especially as they were playing the next weekend in such an important game.

What part was sensitive?

What did the Dogs do differently to the rest of the year?

Well if they can't tonight....

I just can't help think of their earlier encounter is Tassie. Hawks are on the verge of something big.

Whorethorn have been Big & Smelly since 1971

They must be TERMINATED!!

I can't believe a team as ordinary as North are in a Prelim. Very poor reflection on the others who didn't make it. Sydney just imploded. I want to see West Coast break some records this weekend.

Freo are a sneaky chance with the extra week off and playing at home. Important that they get a good start.

I think this is one of the funniest things about this year...

David King (early in the season) was going on about how teams...read here Freo, were pacing themselves through the year. They would come out and build a big lead in the first half then coast in the 2nd knowing they had it in the bag. A brilliant strategy said King.

Now King and the experts see the stats seem to show that Freo can't run out games. So which is it? do they build a lead and coast or do their ageing warriors run out of legs?

This could well be a case of the stats taken on their own without proper analysis. Freo finished comfortably on top, that's a good stat.

...anyway, I think Freo will win well. For them that means by 8 points but don't be surprised if they run away with it for a 2 goal plus win.

Maybe it is just wishful thinking from me, I'm sick of the Hawks.

Can't see North getting close to WC.

Norths first final is tomorrow night.

The win over Richmond was a formality and the Swans had no Buddy/Reid/Parker/Jack, Jetta was already on the plane and Shaw/Goodes/McVeigh/Richards are/were cooked.

What's ifs are great but if they faced either Crows/Dogs in week one of the Hawks last week they'd be out. They have stuffed around and overused the ball for the last two weeks. Then after the Swans game they were all getting around each like they'd won a flag. The clubs leaders should of kept it very low key. Considering where they finished last year and their offseason recruiting they have been underwhelming to date.

If Suns/Giants/Dogs were in Norths position you could say they have achieved but not with North.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
