I didn't see all the game but I think I got the gist of it.

By the way, Howe won't be dropped just like Frawley wasn't last year.

Out: Lumumba (injured), Garland, Harmes, Brayshaw

In: Jetta, Jamar, JKH, Tyson

EDIT: Updated.

Jamar will be a definite in... Wether they go with 2 rucks or Gawns rested. Gawn was run off his feet by Kruezer, think his cooked. Brayshaw needs a rest, his looked tired for the last 8 weeks, don't understand why he hasn't had a week off yet. Howe should do a Henderson and just walk now...

Rest - Hogan, Brayshaw, Harmes, Gawn

Bring them in for the last round, maybe we can jag a win and give supporters some false hope.. which is better than none at all.

Harmes needs to go back to Casey, turned it over every time he went near it.

Harmes was awful, turn overs galore and how many times did he get caught holding the ball???, far from ready

Deck chairs on the Titanic

Really? Even Demonlanders can't find anything original to say?

The dilemma we have is we need both more height and more pace. Adding Spencer or Jamar fixes the first problem but significantly impacts on the second.

In: Tyson (if fit), Jetta. If either are unavailable, add Matt Jones for his pace.

Out: Lumumba, Harmes.

Rather than Matt Jones for his pace, what about Fitzy? Everybody should look at his highlight when he sprinted the length of the ground and then roasted a goal on Saturday. The Coburg player had no hope of catching him. With Fitzy we get a back up ruckman who can play both ends!

Nah, I'd rather him play the next 2 games so we can get his spawn.

Why would you drop Harmes if he was the only one going in and getting the bloody ball....

Because he turned it over half the time. Love him, but needs a rest and needs to learn to pace himself and use it better.

OUT: Lumumba (inj), Dawes (inj), Harmes, Brayshaw

IN: Spencer, M.Jones, Jetta, Riley

Reckon Dawes might miss with a knee. Harmes and Gus to be rested for the big trip. Spencer to play mostly forward (kicked a bag for Casey) and give Gawn a chopout. Jetta hopefully right to go.

Agree with this. I just forgot about him when trying to think of a replacement. I'm yet to be convinced that he's going to make it...but I am convinced that Matt Jones's AFL career is coming to a very rapid conclusion, so Fitzy would be a better option.

It is hard to believe we are following up the misery of the last 2 weeks with a visit to Perth to face the top side

6 losses in a row to Freo
Ave margin 69 points
Last time we played them in Perth 90 point loss
Head-head $1.08 vs $7.50

They are playing like a bunch of gutless, disinterested hacks right now

20 goal loss, at least, very much on the cards

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits.
