Could be a blessing in disguise.

Sounds like he is a bit of a handful - hopefully the time off has made him take a step back and respect the opportunity in front of him.

7 weeks of running is good to hear. Article says he will be doing everything but contact work upon returning for preseason - you'd think he would be close to contact stuff.

Happy he has had Trenners with him - wonder when he would start contact stuff because he is 6 weeks behind (different injury though).

We basically get 5 new recruits next year with this Bloke, Trengove, Kent, Salem and Frost, all 5 if fit will slot into our best 22 in 2016

He will be a star if his knee holds up, Trengove and Viney have been good leaders for him during their rehabs this year

I reckon Hogan's year off in 2014 was a blessing in disguise, and we're seeing the fruits of that this year. They got to spend an entire year just developing him and educating him about defence patterns, studying other forwards, etc.

I love that the club has Petracca helping out with talent scouting and recruitment.

We will lose a few other players though. Its all part of the game. Never will have best 22 available all year long, hence the need for depth.

I was really gutted for the kid when he went down, it's hard for any player when it happens but for a first year player who's highly rated so has to carry that burden on his shoulders it just seemed to wrong. But he sounds like he's got a strong relationship with the players, I'm sure they all got around him to help him through it and while I'm sure it's been a very frustrating year hopefully it'll build his character to be stronger in the face of adversity.

Well, while his cockiness led him to having many a doubter, his personality may be exactly what is needed to get through such a tough time. I'm sure he's a hard worker and working to get back and 100% fit. But it wouldn't be easy to deal with that sort of industry. That sort of personality comes with the good and the bad.

The only suggestion of cockiness or arrogance is a self-appraisal. Kid seems to have his head screwed on completely and demonstrates outstanding maturity and confidence for a bloke his age. We've earmarked Gus and Jack as potential future leaders of the club - It might get interesting for the future top job if Christian can overcome this injury and perform next year.

I watched a whole heap of footage after reading that today. Forgot how much a 1-2 team him and Brayshaw were during the championships.

Fantastic leadership comment by Jack Trengove " I'll look after him"!

Imagine the joy and excitement if both get back fully fit and in form for round 1 2016.

Is he getting treatment for the issue that supposedly turned off some recruiters : "acute bubbly personality disorder " ?

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
