how about all the excusers for laziness, & 'the me generation', take the next 5 years off, & let this club grow some, before they get back from holidays.

Hey who do you think raised the 'me generation?' As I recall it was you bunch of backwards, misogynists, racist, grumpy old men. (talking generally about your generation not about you)

Guilty as charged.

I'd happily trade Watts. He's the poster boy for this clubs years of ineptitude. It would almost provide "clean air" as we move forward.

Will it happen ? No.

Supporters carry on about his skill and decision making etc, but it's vastly overrated. His total package is "ordinary".

And what does that tell you about your opinion vs that of a premiership coach?

Is that all you can contribute to this discussion...?

Why does there even need to be 15 pages of discussion about a player we have discussed for 1000 pages since he was drafted?

I'm surprised there is anything left to discuss.

Very popular with the player group and coaching fraternity like his skill set!

And Yep, count me as a fan!

Although I must say he does frustrate on occasion!

Has shown definite improvement this year ,without a doubt!

It's pretty bloody self explanatory ..if you don't like discussing the topic...then don't read it and don't comment on it...there are topics that I don't even bother looking at....

I for one will be discussing Jack Watts until the day he is delisted or seriously changes the way he plays...

How wonderful for you. You go right ahead and talk about the same things over and over and over again until he isn't at the club anymore. I mean, people have been doing it for years, so why stop now?

Knock yourself out.

Or until he lifts his work ethic to the standard of Jesse Hogan.

So you will only bother talking about Watts when it's something negative? Not happy to praise him when he plays positively?

Classy.

Actually the difference between JW and HL is in the disposals. Both work as hard as Jesse but HL is a liability with his disposals whilst JW is elite (most of the time)!

And yet you can still manage to comment time and time again.

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
