Agree with all that Wise. Being an 'interstater' I've never seen him play, but from the snippets I've heard since he was drafted, he's a tantalizing prospect. Quick, good hands and a lovely kick, but doesn't seem to get a whole lot of the ball .... that's about all I've heard. Can anyone closer to the action fill in some gaps? Is he still very slightly built? Does he read the play well, and get to the right spots? What is his pressure like? Have most of his recent goals been as a crumber or long shots?

As was mentioned earlier, he grew late, so he fell behind the other kids his age. IN yr 11/12 he had a massive growth spurt. Had some structural issues from rapid growth and didn't play too much that year either. He was a stick insect when drafted, but had serious pace and good kicking. He's put on a good bit of weight since, but could probably do with more. Height is listed at 187cm. Game-wise, I haven't seen him play since early last year (possibly because he hasn't played since early last year). At that time he was blistering when he got into space but not much good winning his own ball or if stuck in traffic. When he got loose on the wing he was gone and nobody was going to catch him. What I've been liking from the reports the last three weeks is that he seems to be much better defensively and winning his own ball. If he's getting those elements into his game he'll be a great addition to the side.

One 4 goal game in a coupl of years doesn't warrant a contract. He needs to do it consistently first

Not one four goal game. He's played for Casey seniors three times for three, two and four goals. The two was in shocking conditions. He's improved drastically from before he had his series of injuries. If he keeps this up he'll get a call-up for the senior side sooner or later.

I spoke to him today mate.

He said he was doing alright. Has been playing plenty of Witcher 3 during the week and said he is enjoying it, although the gratuitous sex in the game is a bit much for him. Said he had a roast dinner on Thursday night that was sensational but was disappointed with the new Terminator movie. All in all though he said he's had a pretty good week. He's trying to get Roos on board the Witcher 3 train as well but all Roosy does is take Geralt off in to the forest to 'meditate' all the time. He doesn't get anything done.

Agreed. I would've liked to see him play tomorrow but not to be.

If the aim is to finish the year with a flourish, we shouldn't be locking out a senior, experienced player in strong form. Need to test how he and Maxiumus can work in tandem and try to assert some dominance out of the middle against the Saints.

Not to mention he probably offers far more in a marking and goalkicking sense than Dawes. He might do a lot less leading up the ground though, but we could go on all day about Dawes' flaws in spite of his leading patterns.

I like the fact he's getting more of the pilli in the VFL. He is at least showing that he is willing to be more mobile around the ground.

He'll get a recall next week. Unless we smash the Brions, which seems highly unlikely.

Skinny. Came through school footy with Salem & Kelly, but didn't grow, so fell behind. Became a small forward type, but then had a fair growth spurt in his draft year. Probably measures in close to 190 now. Maybe his growth spurt may have had something to do with his back issues.

Still needs to put on size, but his pace and skill is exciting. Pretty good by foot too.

Yes. I recall him (Hunt) being mooted as, firstly, a HBF.

Injury has prevented him from showing his wares up until now.

His schoolmate Salem has certainly overtaken him as preferred HBF, but if he can win his ball and run like described by those who have seen him then he could be a very valuable fast outside mid. Perhaps.

I would like to see Jamar come in and play a role as 2nd ruck and forward. Gawn needs to be first ruck for development but Jamars good form should be rewarded and he is tall and can mark.

If Jamar was at an earlier point in his career then I would consider your points valid.

Fact is that he's spent. Roos knows that and will manage him accordingly, regardless of the said "we will reward good form" rhetoric.
