wonder if we would have one that if we didnt play Gawn and Spencer

Spencer certainly helped Gawn and they both did enough forward, but you'd think ideally against such a non ruck of Walker than Dawes could've held his own and Hogan would've given us even more up forward. But the 2 rucks brought dominance at the contest and did enough forward to make it work. We all know the answer is a good forward/ruck player who can legitimately play 30% in the ruck to give Gawn a chop out and still be useful forward. In the mean time its about picking the 3 or 4 who actually bring the most competitive output.

This is the best win since we pantsed the Swans and roosy was left speechless.

Love that Gawn referenced the game shown on fox footy during the week when Melbourne beat Geelong down there. Belief goes a long way. Hopefully we get more of it.

Do we change the team for WCE

Who can we look forward to coming back?

Newton?

Fitzpatrick?

Garland?

Vandenburg?

Frost 4 weeks (Brisbane?)

Salem 4 weeks (Brisbane?)

Hunt 4 weeks

Kent 6 weeks

Grimes 8 weeks

Pedersen season

Petracca season

Trengove season

?

Would like Frost, Salem and Kent to hurry up!

I'm almost inclined to say no changes to the side for the West Coast game. Lets give the players a reason to drop them, plus the game is in Darwin so we can bring in fresh players for Essendon the week after.

Amazing win. I'm in total shock.

I think we all are Jaded. I'm doubly happy though. I missed on putting my tipping in on time. (Forgot the bloody Thursday game). They gave me the AWAY teams and I scored just as well as my original tips. The big bonus was getting the mighty Demons right! Gained on most rivals here.

What about Vince's Left foot goal from a long way out?

Yeah, on fox, sorry mate, should have said.

And I'm taping it to watch it numerous times.

If you've got a Plasma you can pause it at the moment we win and if you leave it long enough the image should burn into the screen.

Absolute ecstacy from our wonderful warrior skipper. Gee, has he earned this moment.

Well said Bobby

This bloke has carried a heavy weight for a mighty long time and done us proud through so much woe.

Great to see him lapping it up. Deserves every accolade and back slap from all at the club!

Well done skipper!

Full of vigour, full of determination, full of belief and so bloody satisfying!

By the way, the recruitment of Gartlett was a stroke of genius.

Selwood and Johnson are just are pair of whining little hoes who like to [censored] and question every decision.

Despite umpire 28 being a complete fkn suck again, we beat them in front of their own plebians in that backwater hole.

Hopefully no more injuries.

If fit Vanders should come in tho - Riley or bail out.

Whoops forgot Hogan.

Hogan has to come in - we got lucky today up forward cant rely on Garlet to kick 4 and AND 3

It's been a long time since I've seen Joel Selwood so comprehensively beaten. Jack Viney was outstanding. Disciplined and aggressive.

We played man on man. We beat them man on man. We cracked in and ran harder then they did. Our leaders led. Our young guys showed they refuse to be tainted by years passed. Our NQR players played their role and kept their ball handling simple.

Still waiting for us to find a way to lose even though the game has been over for 30 minutes.

So why not play man on man every week whats the problem with that?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
