Why would he want to join a club that tanked?

Take him. Proven midfielder, gives his all and at worst would be a depth player for 2 years. Like it or not he would be in our best 22

I see this as a direct replacement for Trengove who will head straight to the long term injury list.

Im definitely not against the idea of him back at the club. We still need another mature head to help ease and guide these young kids who have just come in.

I'd take him. Useful midfield depth when we've got injuries or need to give the kids a rest.

Used to be my favourite player.

Tanking aside I reckon he loves the club. Wasn't he the only player to donate to the club from his own pocket.

If he was in the side, he would be taking the place of others I would prefer to be playing. We drafted Cross and Vince to help out Jones as the seniors in the midfield - I don't think we need another.

Except that the "Donation" was actually a penalty for doing burnouts after training in the car park.

I used to love Brock when he played for us......I think he has slowed down a lot (not that he was ever fast)....I think others have past him by and I think this would be a backward step.........I think the same for Sylvia as well.....

its a nice romantic thought but then you remember the On The Ouch interview and the [censored] he dropped us in

But maybe we should be thanking him because without that interview we may have never got rid of Schwab and co..

It would have been much more difficult.

What Brock said on the couch was correct.

Whether he should have said it is another issue.

But it was a "No pain No gain" scenario

Somebody had to talk....

He couldn't hack the drive to Casey five years ago - the trip won't be any easier next year.

Maybe he's moved into the area.

If Brock were to come back to the club it would be more about getting experience at Casey which is badly needed. I couldn't really see him pushing for senior selection now.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
