Time to reveal those rubbish riddles.

Obviously whatever plan you or the club had didn't pull off. You have been extremely quite after a supposed deal fell through and been MIA.

You have already been online today and seen people asking for proof of whatever deal was suppose to happen.

Time to own up.

You've been less than welcoming of GNF's posts in the past, tell me why he should all of a sudden buckle to YOUR demands?

Clearly the guy isn't the saviour, and was certainly starting to drink some of his own bathwater, but I still enjoyed the riddles... even if they didn't eventuate.

I'm with you DD36. I wasted soooooo much time trying to figure it out and unlike my sudoku puzzles there is no answer in the back of the book!

i would guess less the 10% of the trades we hear get done

and with us not getting richmonds 1st round pick it changed everything

at trade time there is so many rumours you wouldn't believe some of the players put up

and some of the low ball offers

looking from the outside we had a plan and it didn't happen , so we move on

we wanted x amount for the picks and it didn't happen , so now we draft hopefully 2 very good kids

It basically [censored] my working week from a productivity POV but who gives a shyt.

Next year we pillage free agency.

Pretty difficult to get trade mail right a week out given all the possible permutations. I for one think GNF's info is valuable to this forum and his credibility remains intact IMO.

some are [censored] off because the news got out... the fact it fell over is beside the point but they still try to discredit him for the next seasons trade period.

If Trenners was traded the deal would have happened

lets get over it, & hope Trenners can heal, so he can fulfill his dreams of being a successful AFL player..... go Trenners, best of luck mate.

If the deal fell over for the sole reason being Trenners injury then we are still a terribly run club

I think more likely is that you are in fact dee-luded

What trade deal? Not even GNF has mentioned what deal would have eventuate?

I mean keep hearing this so called trade deal that would have happened if trengove had passed yet Josh Mahoney mentioned that they hadn't even go further to discuss trade deals with the tiges.

I highly doubt there was ever a big Deal looming. GNF never mentioned trengove doing a medical before Jay Clark leaked it. Wasn't until it came out he decided to run with it.

The guy made demonland a laughing stock with all his riddle [censored].

Biggest week since 2000 grand final week my ass.

well at least you got that right, this is me, dee-luded a badge of honor.

but alas, I guess we just were not going to give Picks 2 & 3 to get the Ugly Duckling over the line... so we had an offer on the books from the Tiggers for P-12,,, we went down that track & came up with zilch, & a mongrel injury to one of our favourite sons.

Thats what happens in trade week, & we went as far as a fitness test, so it was done in principle, but the fitness test failed. just another example of the loyalty of Trenners. he's a great fella.

And I for One am glad Trenners is still a Demon.

The guy is a nuffie.

Biggest week since 2000 grand final week my ass.

so why did Trenners get shown the Tigers rooms, then a fitness test was organised... just so we could trade Him & P-23, for a return of P-12; get off the grass DD36.

the Danger one fell thru obviously, maybe price too high, P-2&3

it was on, & maybe it still is, (2015)? I don't know Kennedy's contract status for next year, of if he has to sign another contract now, or if he is still under contract... maybe this time next year we will know him more closely.

IF we had of landed Dangerfield, Or Kennedy even better: It would have been the biggest thing for us since the 200 GF, for sure... but it didn't work out.

Thats the trouble when someone goes early, it can upset the deal, or the deal can backfire before it gets done.

He's contracted until the end of 2017. This was never going to happen.

Posters such as Chook, Ryan Dee, Party Boy GNF etc who post stuff they have heard, I have not problem with at all.

They are only posting info they have heard from their sources.

U take all the info posted with a grain of salt.

Not every poster gets everything right.

Time to let it go and move on.

GNF was blindsided by Clark & Trenners

So was everyone. If we had landed P12 i think a lot more trades would have been done.

We just have to nail those 2-3 picks.

It is critical.

i feel we are very much in a win, win.

Either Brayshaw, Petracca, Mcartin, Wright or Lever (roughie) will be ours.

All look the goods, with Lever the dark horse.

Feeling confident with this. My ideal outcome would be; Petracca/Brayshaw (man our midfield needs work) Petracca/Mcartin, Brayshaw/Mcartin.

St Kilda have shown some interest in Brayshaw apparently, undecided on their choice for pick 1.

Would be unwise for us to make it clear we think Brayshaw is the better prospect of the two, if that's the case.

How does Trengove and 23 for 12 sound now? Personally I reckon it sounds pretty great. And that's the reason we wanted to trade him. Because the risk of reinjury is high (turns out it already was injured), the time it will take him to get back on the park is a long time and his form prior to injury wasn't any good either.

If we did Trengove for 12 we could've made traded 12 for just some really good picks. Imagine turning 12 in to 30, 31 and 40 with a club who wants quality over quantity. From there we could've got Frost with 40 and headed to the draft with 30 and 31 instead of 40 and 53.

Maybe it was part of a big deal. Maybe it wasn't. I'm not hating on GNF. I reckon something was brewing and it got canned and his information just came too late.

Maybe the clubs really stepped up it's work and is trying to find the moles and also putting some disinformation out there trying to shake a few trees.

Managers knew this year Melbourne were circling and they'll know next year as well.

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm

    DEFUSE THE BOMBERS by Meggs

Last Saturday’s crushing loss to Fremantle, after being three goals ahead at three quarter time, should be motivation enough to bounce back for this very winnable Round 5 clash at Windy Hill. A first-time venue for the Melbourne AFLW team, this should be a familiar suburban, windy, footy environment for the players.   Essendon were brave and competitive last week against ladder leader Adelaide at Sturt’s home ground. A familiar name, Maddison Gay, was the Bombers best player with

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out
