chook fowler 19,778 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Good result. One of the most consistent performers and highly under rated. Also the best hair on a winner since The Rat, John Platten.
Chook 15,070 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Well done Nate Jones 16th best in the league , but not AA!! But it's really just the 16th best midfielder in the league though isn't it? Not that I'm complaining.

Undeeterred 3,127 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Awsome effort Priddis! Deserved it and clearly best player in the league this year. Really?? If you can point to one post when you mention that, I'd be amazed.
dees189227 12,515 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 The winner of the brownlow didnt even make the all australian so jones had no hope
Sir Why You Little 37,458 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 A very nice acceptance speech
Webber 10,650 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 The winner of the brownlow didnt even make the all australian so jones had no hopeThe All Australian team is 90% popularity parade and 10% objective reward for quality.
Lucifers Hero 40,733 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Great to see Priddis win...sometimes it has seemed that the umpires play 'catch-up' and overly notice a player who perhaps should have won the previous year. Great to see they resisted this temptation and to see a whole bunch of new names in the top 10!
Robbie57 2,042 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 ...but... Josh Kelly will win 5 Brownlows!?! ..... "tell him he is dream'n" I really doubt it but it doesn't matter because we already have someone who is polling well at an early stage. An inspired pick by Roos.
beelzebub 23,392 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 did something happen last night ?
Ethan Tremblay 31,389 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 did something happen last night ? Robbie Gray got no where near it and I lost $20, apart from that, pretty much uneventful.
poita 3,945 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Congratulations to Matt Priddis, he's been a consistently excellent player for a long time now. I always wonder how much more highly regarded players like Priddis, Boak, etc would be if they were playing in one of the big Victorian teams. It is also fantastic to have the Jim Stynes medal presented during the ceremony. There are a lot of players doing great work in the community that you never hear about, and it is nice that they are recognised. PS. Kevin Sheedy - just go away forever. Please. I thought that tribute was meant to be about Bailey & Hafey, but you seemed to take it as an opportunity to talk about yourself for five minutes.
Vitamin Dee 903 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Congrats to Priddis, well deserved, and, a nice touch of 'Soul Glo' through the hair too.
mauriesy 7,444 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 I see that million dollar man living in Sydney polled well.
Robbie57 2,042 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Humour me for a moment: Tyson gets 11 votes in one year and has only played 35 career games. No GWS or Suns player goes close to that. (Prestia 13 votes 73 games) Jack Macrae at the Dogs 10 votes this year (34 career games) also very impressive. Picked one spot ahead of Oliver Wines (why oh why didn't we pick him!?! ......Macrae that is.) Scully 10 votes over his career of 86 games (at $45,000 per game). Well done Mr Tyson lets hope you win it one day (after MrJones).
Kumamoto_Ken 1,531 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Congrats to Priddis. Funniest moment for me was The Chad channelling Ricky Bobby when being interviewed by Timmy Watson. Painful, and yet I couldn't look away.
Pipefitter 2,234 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Gees our boy Jonesy would probably win the medal if we won a few games.
hulkhogan666 142 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 I was surprised that Jordan Lewis didn't poll more votes, simply for the fact that he was the 5th favourite going into it.
3Dee 1,153 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Rapt that Priddis won it, humbe and seems like a genuine good bloke. Also can't remember when we had two players poll over 10 votes! how sad. well done Jonesy & Tyson.

Perhaps Sheedy thought that at the time, DB was treated pretty shabbily by the MFC. There is some weight to that argument.
