After a promising opening NAB Challenge match against Richmond there was much optimism that Trengove was poised to rejuvenate his career without the burden of the captaincy. However, a broken foot detected in the first month put paid to his season.

I see him along with Jesse Hogan and Jimmy Toumpas as our three main "recruits" of 2015. I would throw in Jack Grimes who did play a lot but seemed out of sorts, as the fourth. They and the players to come in will make us a better team and hopefully hasten our rise.

It just all needs to click for the likes of Toumpas Trengove and Hogan.

Its a big call but we get those three playing their best football we will be pushing top 8

You may as well add Col Garland to that list. He played no where near his best this season

We need this guy to go back to what he was showing in his first couple of years - big marks, big kicks, hunting the ball and the man.

Since the sling tackle he's been a shadow of what we expected.

Like everyone, I'm hoping the foot was the major issue, and that we get the prime midfield mover we thought we had on our hands.

Gravedigger of the highest order.

Keep and be patient.

You had me clapping until you got to the forth one WJ.

A bridge too far comes to mind.

I just hope this club hasn't worn him down and he's not now just going along for the ride. I hope he still has the same drive and hunger. He's going to need it if he's going to get anywhere near the player he was in his first couple of seasons, when in fact we need him to be going beyond that level. He's a number 2 draft pick for heaven's sake. We need to see some value.

2014 was make or break for Blease, Strauss and Tapscott, and we pretty much got our answer. 2015 is that year for Trengove.

I think the injury may well have been a major factor in restricting Trenners,

but I agree, 2015 he needs to take steps and show he's worth persisting with, he has shown how good he can be, which is why he won't be traded this year.

I just watched trenners video on the mfc website.
hes had a pretty tough run (most have at mfc), but he's still optimistic.
He's a great bloke and I really hope he can get some fitness back this pre season and have a good crack in 2015.

Very easy to read too much into some things. Trenners is featuring of late on the MFC site. Inclined to think hes a keeper. Another Sth Aussie...isnt though

Really? What makes you think that? That fact he has a broken lisenfranc or navicular or whatever or did you deduce it all by yourself??? Just kidding :)

Toump did do the Robbo segment.

But I don't think anyone would be too shocked to see him offered as part of a trade deal. Could go either way.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
