WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HERITIER LUMUMBA

Amazing that Geelong's announcement has Clark in a Geelong jumper, but ours has Lumumba in a Collingwood jumper. Does anybody at the club have a clue how to promote themselves?

might be the only time he is actually seen wearing a cats jumper

It's because Clark's photo was taken in April. #stirringthehornetsnest

He will prove to be a good pick up purely to stick it up the Collywobbles

Welcome Heritier, delighted to have you at the Dees!

He is now one of ours, let's show him the same respect as we do to the rest of our list.....

Good luck HL, you'll need it.

He's even older than I thought his was. Yikes.

At least Collingwood got Varcoe so we shouldn't cop too much from them.

Welcome Heritier!

Very happy to have a player on our list who can win their own ball and run away from a pack - we've been so good at hand balling it back in to congestion for so so long. Keen to see what Roos can do as I reckon we haven't seen the best of you yet.

This definitely fulfils one of our needs and I think releases Howe to move further up the ground - another player who i think should continue to improve and see more of the footy.

Ah shame, especially given none of the other Australians living over here seem to have any interest in AFL, let alone time to indulge in pre-season rumours on Demonland...

I've given away Sherrins in both Addis and Nairobi

edit...

though truth be told they had EnergyWatch written on the side of them...

Roll out the red and blue carpet. Prince has arrived.

I wonder if he chose us so when he changes his name to symbol he can use the trident as his symbol.

They've been too busy trying to photoshop Danger and Kennedy.

^^^ Good Belly Laugh... thank you ^^^ God I wish it was true.

welcome

lets hope you help us improve

Spoke to one of my very good mates at a wedding over the weekend who is very close was a recently retired Collingwood player (I know it sounds like the Judd's grandma's baker's son srtory, but I am legit), anyway, said friend had a night out with H recently at said former Collingwood players wedding and his impression was nothing like the media portrayal that has been out there. He assured me that H was one of the best blokes going around and that he was a bit of a lad that does has fun. Although he can hold his own in an intellectual discussion. The two have remained friends since their meeting and I trust my mates assessment more than a bunch of bogan blokes at the Pies who reckon Gays and Penis' are hilarious. No one gets along with FIGJAM either, so won't trust his judgement. Welcome H, reckon you will be a beauty!

I am guessing that Herri L's initiation to the club will go somewhere along the lines of this.

Is this the prince formally known as prince?

Welcome HL! Strong and clever HB or Mid and former All Australian. Collingwood had a glut of mids so hard for HL to break in but may prove different at Melbourne. HL together with Garlett are great pick ups without affecting draft picks much.

Worth noting both players wanted to play with Us.

Note that Brisbane have done well picking up Christenson and the Elite one Beams. Hoping MFC can score a brilliant Mid similar to Danger. Fingers crossed.

I'm happy to have Lumumba on the list. He offers qualities we are sorely lacking, specifically pace and power. We struggled to move the ball quickly last year, but he is a powerful and direct footballer and will help out a lot.

Welcome to the club H. Can`t wait to see you streaming off the half back line.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
