Id rather trade pick 2 and 3 on Shiel and Trelor rather spend it all on the one player who is 25 next year and probably get 5 years out of him the way his body is going.

Lets not put all our eggs in one basket.

You say that as if it's a viable trade option...

Ok just saw the page.

First of all you do realize that page is run by a 15 year old melbourne supporter who does nothing but cause trouble on his page just to get a reaction out of supporters.

Its not a rumour its a fake and complete [censored}

its run by carlton and collingwood supporters now

Would really like to retain Trengove and Toumpas. See little point in getting rid of them at this stage.

Plenty of upside also with Salem, Kent, Michie, JKH and Riley. I think Viney also played injured for most of the year.

Add that lot to Jones, Vince, Tyson and Cross I think we have the basis of an A grade midfield.

No need for rash decisions.

No its still the same muppet. He just says he is a Carlton supporter so people think he hae changed admins. Look how biased he is towards Melbourne.

Worst page going around.

I've been a Dangerfield sceptic from the start and based on what I've seen and heard from and about him in the last 24 hours, I would say that anyone who thinks there's any truth in the story that he's coming to Melbourne next year is dreaming.

I think many posters are missing the fact that he bagged the club and its leaders for sacking Sanderson. He said it was their position to do it and not the players. I think he actually gave Ricciuto and co a fair slap. He said he was happy there but I wonder. Looked happy to be with Bernie.

Speaking of which, isn't this the year we were supposed to be vying for a flag? IIRC the napkin team list was to deliver us a premiership next week. Still waiting.....

I thought we'd left base camp, oh we have but decided it was a high and scary so we went down to try the kiddies slope instead.

I wouldn't be wanting to trade Trengove out unless it was for an absolute superstar like Dangerfield.

I have a feeling that he'll come back from his injuries a far better player - hopefully the player we were all dreaming of after his first two seasons.

I'd be more inclined to let Toumpas go but only if the price were right, as I still think he can be a good player for us.

Exactly.....I didn't think it was definitive he was staying at Adelaide at all.

Said the usual things players say when questioned about moving.

Cards very close to his chest........who knows what's going on behind the scenes

Bit of random trivia I learnt today is that his dad, Ollie Wines dad and Ryan O'Keefes dad all played in a flag together at Anglesea.

Surely the three of them would love catching up while watching there boys run around in the red and blue (one can dream  )

His parents are still down there and he has purchased a house there in one of the small towns. Something Creek, cant remember. Anyways, he is down there a lot and is still a Victorian at heart.

I don't think he will finish his career at the Crows and I honestly don't think they expect him to either.

a lot to be said for this thought.

IMO putting dangers aside, we do need to maximise our picks, so If we could get another young up & comer coming home, plus some steak knives from one deal, then lets do it.

Shiel - Jaksch

I too am concerned about the potential of the danger Hammy twangs, a cyriol phenomena.

Might be better getting ROK or Sewell for 12 months for next to nothing as a mentor to our young mids and use picks 2 & 3 on Petracca, Brayshaw or similar.

this is the thing, IMO the best way to go, get the Shiels & Jaksch's, Frosts etc; & RO'K & Sewell (1Yr each playing mentors swinging between the Dees & Casey) to guide the players in their development whilst onfield.

That's the one! Thanks bud, appreciate it.

I think the Catters will be the one for him next season.

I know you have your Cats contacts Machsy, your thoughts on this?

I know the cats are already into him about next year.

Doesn't mean he won't leave this year, but I'd be surprised if he stays in Adelaide long term.

Surely you have him on ignore?

Don't do it when you're having a bad day you just read one or two of his jaw dropping posts and it makes you feel talented, whilst also confirming Demonland has it's share of window lickers

It depends what the rumour is. You can't blame MFC supporters for wanting to believe Dangerfield toured our facilities. :D

So did Chri$$$$ Judd :-((((

Dangerfield is afraid of coming to MFC as he is worried that Jack Trengove will tackle him at training.

(PS: maybe he would come if we traded him for Trengove, so this clash couldn't happen)

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
