if only Carlton beat essendon because if the tigs get up by a certain amount essendon would have had to play interstate next week instead they play nth who they will probably beat.

It will be strange not to see collingwood play finals. Eddie wouldnt know what to do now. He has September free. Knock essendon out early and i will enjoy the finals.

Petterd is terrible, may as well be playing for the Swans

Take a good hard look at that team, MFC. Look what you can achieve when you work as a team and unite, against all odds.

Guess ending up Ninthmond would motivate anyone to perform.

Sydney didn't play their strongest side and winning this game wasn't their top priority. Tanking?

Yep, playing Dean towers in the ruck FFS. If we did that we'd be investigated for sure.

A few surprises - let's hope we can pull off another one ??!! :-)))

My original thought was that they had planned to lose by a few goals to slip below Hawthorn on percentage to finish second. Second gets Geelong. First gets Fremantle. On current form I know which one I'd prefer. But that didn't eventuate.

I hate Richmond but to be perfectly honest they deserve it more than West Coast or Adelaide, both of whom are incredibly overrated.

Well done Tigers! You have kept the WEAGLES out of the finals!!!!!!!!!How I hate that team and living in Perth makes it all the more unbearable.

I'm surprised at how many people think Richmond is going to beat Port.

Of their 9 wins, they only beat 3 top 8 sides. Of those, one was Port in the middle of their form slump (totally different side to Port now), and one was a disinterested Sydney at ANZ instead of the SCG and missing Franklin, Kennedy, McGlynn, Parker and Bird. I rate their Essendon win and I know they won three times on the road but their form isn't what some are making it out to be.

Anyone watching St. Kilda demonstrating to Melbourne exactly how to convincingly tank a game to finish last. There won't be any of this losing as a result of an opposition goal from 50 metres out after the siren stuff. They're already 44 points down and it's not half time yet.

Bulldogs not even trying to put in effort today. Almost as deplorable a performance as ours against the Giants. Would hate to see that soulless franchise end up with 6 wins for the season.

Jake Stringer just cost the Bullies the game. Dropped a simple mark, turnover, Devon Smith goals from 55. Unbelievable finish and pretty poor from Stringer too.

Horrible miss from Stringer. He marks that, Bulldogs win. Bulldogs fans would be feeling thoroughly gutted over that.

Likewise, Gia doesn't kick out on the full twice while inside 50, and scores anything, they win.

LOL @ Giansiracusas last 2 kicks being out on the fulls that cost his team the game

Makes me sick how much positive press this spud gets, never been more than an just an ok player and soft as butter

Might end up as our next coach!

Why the Bulldog hate? They're in the same boat as us re: list management...

I hate GWS more with all their money, their potential and their pact.

It's teams like GWS that are going to render us more insignificant than we are now...if that's possible.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
