GOODBYE MITCH CLARK

Recommended Posts

Thats the easy part, nominating a club, now how do we get a deal that works knowing that Clark can walk as a Delisted Free agent. We are going to get rightfully shafted with this. I like the idea of Billy Smedts and third round pick for Clark and our fourth round pick.

Motlop will look good in red and blue, well better than his brother did.

Chuck in Harry Taylor and it's a deal....

He wants the best for the club and get us fair compensation, which would be in the form of a straight swap (of sorts) for Lumumba, yet he goes to Geelong. [censored].

Geelong have some good players. I would rather them than what is on the Filth's list.

Although a lot of players seem to want out of Edieland lately.

Gotta love the trade period :)

I don't mind HL being in a separate deal. I think because Collingwood want HL out we can get him for about a round 3 pick (or equivalent) and for Clark we should get a round 2 pick (or equivalent).

That's probably slightly optimistic but I think doable.

I spoke to my source again this morning. Just to clarify what was said.

The most important part i took from it.

My source was told by a club official at the Best & Fairest count this year that the MFC want Clark OUT...This was guaranteed to me again this morning.

He has been kept on the list for trade purposes.

Would also explain why he was a no show at the B & F

Can't believe this is all actually happening.
I loved Mitch so much, brought so much hope to my heart and the club. I literally sat at the MCG watching the joy on peoples faces, including a lot of young Demon fans, as he would fly for massive pack marks, and kick amazing goals. The great Number 11 lived again. And now it has come to this.
I now know how Obi-Wan felt. I am just gutted.

I heard rumours a long time ago about Clark, but I just find it hard to believe that the club wants him out so badly if he was training with Dave Misson.

sure. But if we want a good trade for him he had to keep fit.

"We will keep this out of the media if you keep up your fitness....."

We paid him a fortune to come here and he has shat in his own backyard.

One should not get away with that without sacrifice...

Geelong will have to do a sensible trade or risk him going to the draft where Collingwood could pick him up ahead of them.

I hope Frawley picks Hawthorn to wipe the smug smile off the Chris Scott's dial (gifted a premiership seen no evidence he can actually coach) and we pass them on the ladder in the years to come.

As for Mitch I dont know what to believe..... very disappointed with the whole affair.

that was probably just to get him up to a tradeable level?

You know, it is possible the club were concerned about him and did the responsible thing to help get him back on his feet. That is how I would hope the Club would behave.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
