Wost case scenario is he stays, our PP is rejected due to Clark and Hogan coming back next year and then we dilute our Frawley pick with dudd Free Agents.

Some people were entertaining every possibility. I dont see any need to take offense to it nor do I see any problem with people entertaining the scenario.

You don't find barneymfc's comments offensive:"

"I had a a problem with depression a long while ago it never leaves you,you are always on the alert for the tell tale signs it will return, docs advise it takes 2-5 yrs to recover it took me 5yrs .Mitch is a fraud ,a little boy who wants all the toys ,sure he can play ,but if it rains will he turn up ,the big sook ."

and further to that, he then goes on with his wonderful couch side manner, to say:

"I have to work for a living mitch lives the life of rilely coffee at 7 anootther at 11 home for a nap".

This is an anonymous poster who may or may not have had depression, setting himself up as some sort of an authority, judging a person who has been clinically diagnosed as having serious depression.

If that is not offensive, then I really do not know what is!

"the doctors advice was to completely change things"

Paraphrased from his manager.

He's gone boys.

then we should get that Priority Pick we didn't get last year then........ we should have P/Pick 1, as well as our 2nd Pick. as the Saints who were in finals just a couple of years back, have been dragging their heavy Sea Anchor in games all season, even in Lenny Hayes last melbourne game.

I'd be interested to know what sort of advice Scotty west got 10 years ago. Im sure depression treatment has not changed so much as free agency in the past 10 yrs wrt player welfare- Having a stable and supportive environment with security can be the best thing for depression....

Its just sad that the media sees the worst in people as a viable option and to be expected almost ...

If Mark Neeld convinced him to play at Melbourne, imagine what Roosy will be able to do!!

It was $$ not Neeld.

Mitch Clark on 7 news: "I would love to stay at Melbourne" but then Mark Stevens says it's unlikely he'll stay at Melbourne after a meeting with Roos and Hawks are leading the race.

What. The. Fark?

Didn't fill me with great confidence.. Mark Stevens said he met with roos this arvo and unlikely he'll be there next year.. Hawks front runners. I reckon Him saying "I'd love to stay at melbourne" doesn't mean he will or will it be best fit for him

If Clark says he'd love to stay at Melbourne but then doesn't, it means one of two things:

1. He's lying to the public to protect his reputation

2. Melbourne / Roos don't want him. Which begs the question why??

Frawley and Clark to the Hawks? You got to be [censored] kidding me if this happens. Our 2 best KPP to the former premiers and they [censored] on about equalisation?

If this is the case it's another case of the rich raping the poor once again. The AFL is becoming the EPL/European Football. The only thing is that has killed this club from becoming a power is timing. Imagine if this was the 60's. The Hawks would be the equivalent of Southampton and MFC, Barcelona

Wait until 7.30 then in the words of darth vader, "now, release your anger."

question

how many posts can you get in the thread between now and then :)

By Hawthorn leading the race it better mean they are offering the MFC the most and not be that they are offering MC the most.

Ummm how about letting the supporters know what's going on.

Do you, truly, feel enlightened about "what's going on"? That there's zero confusion in this thread now?

Let the bloody story play out. Then we'll all know what's going on.

I wonder how many people have called Clark a "dog" or some such as a direct result of GNF's not really confirmed post.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
