it not the contract amt that determines compo

it's amount + #years + player age

don't forget frawley is young and will draw a longish contract

lets hope..Hawks not overly reknown for this

I just sent an email to the AFLPA, the morons responsible for free agency coming in

So I see James Frawley is leaving a lowly club to join a powerhouse
So much for equalization
The rich continue to get richer, and the poor get poorer

and this is what you fought for? Maybe think things through before you decide to go ahead and ruin an entire sporting competition with a ridiculous rule that was bought in only to make things easier for your players who already have it easy and get paid too much money to chase a ball around a grass oval

the AFLPA have ruined footy for everyone

if you want to email them heres their addy

i love/loathe this place.

I like to think of Demonland is a MFC-aligned pub that we are constantly in. We have our Cheers like regulars, there are a few cliques, there are a few crazy people talking nonsense alone in the corner, there are tossbags bagging out the place but never leaving, there are attention seekers trying to get anyone to look at them, there are about 4 women, and there is a general sense of hopelessness that somehow morphs into unchallenged hopefulness and then challenged confidence.

At some point, the pub will be right and we will be right in our confidence.

Roos standing up for us:

Paul Roos says free agency is clearly benefitting the top clubs

Paul Roos says free agency is greatest de-equalisation of equalisation in footy

Of course there is. But we are talking about the conduct of Dunn. Which is what brought this topic into this thread.

His conduct was to side with a former teammate who is guilty of atrocities against the supporters. You're cool with that?

He'll feel such pride winning a flag at Hawthorn next year, having helped them for 8 years climb up the ladder and fighting so hard to enjoy that success.... oh hang on.

Typical male chasing quick gratification

are you dtf jaded? (just lolz)

Pick/name the D'land members and their Cheers equivalents at your own peril.

It's taken 9 years of posting, and here it is.

Glory be mine!

9 years on a male dominated football club forum and this is your first derogatory comment received as a female?

I'm not sure about the others, but i am actually proud. Such a comment would have been received almost instantly if this were a Collingwood etc. forum.

Clark isn't a free agent and yet he still was able to choose where he goes, why do we need free agency?

There is a difference.

Clark cannot guarantee where ends up - we have the opportunity to thwart his attempts to go the club of his choice ( don't trade him and then he has to take his chances that no other club other than his club of choice will pick him up in the draft).

UFA - we have no control - end of story ( apart from trading the year before the contract expires - but the player still has to agree)

there iare reports its 4 years at 450k a year

I don't know how anyone would know the details so surely they are just guessing

If those figures are right however we wont be getting pick 3

Doesn't make sense to me.

It happens so rarely, I just don't think it was needed.

So you think it had nothing to do with the fact that we had no-one over 5'2" to play in the forward line for the early part of the season ?

Guesswork at best.

i think the most important aspect was that Roosy wanted to set ip the backline without Frawley in it, rather than rely on him.

The backline was ok and will get better. Frawley has not left a big hole.

I like that Demonland episode where Bbo and Moonie cut a hole in the women's bathroom to have a perv, but cut it in the wrong wall and ended up seeing Biff getting changed in the men's.

We all had a good laugh as Moonie was traumatised by the view but Bbo had to pretend to be revolted while being secretly turned on by Biff's thick chest hair.

Song Formely Known As was doodling in the corner the whole episode.

Picket Fence announced to us that he wanted to join the navy, but everyone laughed at him to he continued delivering mail and talking out of his butthole.

There was another episode where Dee-Luded laid off the LSD, but it turned out badly when he found his body had developed a chemical dependency and couldn't operate without it.

Melbourne Football Club Supporters Syndrome

"Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong, and it will be even worse than what we thought is was going to be. And when things are going right, it will only be a matter of time before this is corrected."

Dr rpfc

It's actually scary how spot on that is in regards to the past 8 yrs.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
