If only Fairfax could get as many people to sign up. I have paid an annual subscription. This site has helped me stay in touch with the Demons, when the games haven't inspired me.

I have only known about demonland for a couple of years, wish it was longer.. There's not many of us dees supporters around and after more depressing news that has been the norm over the past 6 or 8 years, it is a comfort to come here and be amongst those that are feeling the pain too.

So... Time to pay up, I will do so gladly, and appreciate the efforts of those behind the scenes.

Go Dees, and see you all at the G on Saturday night!

Mr. Demonland I have asked this in the past " Is there anyway of advising members when their annual membership expires"?

I never know when I should be paying mine.

If I knew a date I would renew on that date as I am sure I have run over the 12 months in the past.

Perhaps list it on my information area?

I am very sympathetic to the plight of Demonland and have been trying to donate $100, but it is sometime since I have used PayPal (being an ex bank executive I think it is a dog of a system anyway) and so my accounts are out of date on it. Why can't we simply donate via credit card?

I hadn't used PayPal in ages either, but basically it is just like using your credit card. I put my credit card deets in and that was it, no PayPal login or anything.

Or I just got scammed and put $100 towards some Nigerian blokes new Beats by Dre.

Sorry to get into banking details, but this works fine if the accounts on paypal are current. Mine are not, which means I have to go to their site to change them before I can transact.it is frankly a pain in the arse to have to do this when you don't use paypal for any other purpose. Most other sites simply allow you to transact using a credit card alone. I know some say this is risky, but personally I'd rather make that decision that have to go thru this laborious process.

Hello there - sub to Demonland finally paid, also processed donation to the club for undertaking the appeal, (I would have paid whatever the verdict).

Am now working on three new club members here in New York. One ex pat Aussie MFC fan that work at the UN, his Columbian wife and his one week old son, am a bit nervous for the poor bloke his son needs heart surgery (at 1 week old, parents too nervous to buy kids stuff in case it's not needed :( ), so I'm not boring him with footy stuff just at the moment, although he is a passionate fan.

Guys - Paypal stands up pretty well, it's not a big stretch to update your paypal details, we are all keyboard warriors anyway....

You can pay via credit card.

Just follow the prompts through to PayPal and when it gets to the PayPal screen it gives you the option of signing in to PayPal (if you have an account) or paying via credit card. You do not need a PayPal account to donate. It is facilitated through PayPal but you don't need an account.

Just a minor point, earlier in this thread it said annual membership was $25. Why was it $30 when I subscribed?

The prices went up at the beginning of the season. We had a sale where the subscriptions for 2014 were at 2013 prices. I cut and pasted the prices from last years thread and I did not change the prices. I apologise. If you would like to PM me your PayPal account name I would be happy to refund you. Let me know.

My goodness. You are so fair and generous. If he asks the $5 back, let me know and I'll donate it back.

It's the right thing for me to do. It was my error.

For consumers Paypal is great. I have used it for over 10 years. In that time I have had several disputes with traders/ sellers and all have been resolved in my favour including a sum in excess of $2000 for an overseas transaction. If you have a legitimate greivance they are on your side. Got my money back every time. I swear by them.

No, not at all. I probably didn't read the thread carefully. Happy to be a member at that price.

You read the thread correctly. When I created the thread yesterday I cut and pasted from an earlier thread from last year. I changed the amounts and then I got distracted and closed the browser window before I hit post and had to redo the thread and then when I cut and pasted again I forgot to change the amounts from last year. I apologise for the confusion and that is why I offered the refund. Cheers and Go Dees.

I think it'll be more helpful receiving annual payments so I bought a yearly and donated an extra $70.

Thanks to everyone that contributes to the site, it's my 2nd favourite thing on the Internet, besides porn.

I regard Demonland as footy porn. Good or bad, it's always worth a look, and a daily dose is is essential for a healthy lifestyle (especially as I'm old, and live in Canberra!).

I'll make another donation on that basis.

Hang in there with your friends. From my experience every little distraction helps at times like that.

If the MFC helps your friend get through it may well be the best thing the MFC does in 2014.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

    TRAINING: Wednesday 5th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
