THE END OF DEMONLAND (Coming Soon?)

Demonland

Recommended Posts

Can I suggest you up the Lifetime Membership to a nice round $100, and then all previously subscribed members with Lifetime memberships could treat the $40 difference as a donation. Just a thought. When you think about it, $40 is really just a few cups of coffee, so shouldn't hurt too many.

Good suggestion and I have also donated $40 to bring my life membership up to $100.

Demonland is a must read site for all Dees supporters and would be sadly missed.

Can't let that happen particularly for us interstaters!

What about posters like Ben-hur that actually add to the forum? Can there be a IQ scholarship for the odd poster that is needed to (a) lift the IQ; (b) stir the pot; © give critical feedback?

I would call it the Clayton Collard Scholarship

If we had a cost for changing identities, I suspect Ben Hur's alter ego may pay for the site himself/herself single-handedly.

Disclosure: Technically I've changed my name once to correct a spelling error.

I thought it sent you a reminder email. Other than that I'm not sure there is anything I can do about that as it is built in software to the system. I deliberately did not want them to auto-renew because I hate it when sites or companies do that. The only thing I can suggest is that when you start seeing Ads on the site again it is time to renew.

Wouldn't the membership status under your avatar change?

I dont know where id be if i didn't have demonland to read and vent in..... Jeez.... This place has made me feel apart of the MFC for years, and probably more than the MFC themselves.... Umm... Maybe you guys should contact the MFC, maybe they could help out with the finances here... Who knows?

Surely its in the best interest of the club, to keep this site going!! and guarantee its online community will survive... With online communication being the future of business, this site gives a huge boost and head start in this area for the MFC... Maybe we could advertise the MFC sponsors here and sell MFC memberships here? Demonland is a massive part of the MFC, surely they could through in some cash....

The site allows MFC supporters to share thoughts and knowledge - without this site the MFC would probably have 100 Satyriconhome's rocking up to training asking the players questions..... maybe we could threaten them with that.

what are we talking for say a year of operating costs, probably nothing in the context of the club's expenditure.. they owe us this much for staying true through so much BS! Plus from a business POV it is a great marketing move

I'm going overseas for a few weeks after the Doggies game. Please don't kill off Demonland. There's nothing else to read in Costa Rica.

Costa Rica!

Surely not the whole time there WJ

I will do my best to keep us afloat.

Have a great trip

Thank you so 0.03% my god that shows something.

Even if half the members are not active we still have less than 1% supporting the site.

Fire up guys pay your way if you value the site.

You speak wisely and well, oh ancient one.

Get on board you freeloaders.

Should have a Survivor style culling of the least liked posters, but if you've donated then you're safe from being nominated.

I would just like to add that donating or taking out a subscription doesn't give posters the right to act like a [censored].

Wait a minute perhaps an incentive would be to allow donators and subscribers a way around the [censored] word filter.

We would be [censored] rich!!!!!

I'm sure there's money to be made by inventing an on-line swear box.

I think it'll be more helpful receiving annual payments so I bought a yearly and donated an extra $70.

Thanks to everyone that contributes to the site, it's my 2nd favourite thing on the Internet, besides porn.

I rarely post (or even login), but I do check the site out regularly.

Time to pay my dues.

Cheers, and good luck.

G'day KK.

Please resume posting!

Bit outside the box. I think the ads need to be more intrusive and annoying. I really don't notice much difference between logging in as myself or as a guest. More ads might make people want to get rid of them more.

Just my opinion but I would like to think Demonland is independent of the MFC.

We can then speak our minds on the MFC without fear of offending or being beholding to any MFC sponsor.

The MFC can then say "nothing to do with us guys just an independent fan site"

I am also not sure the club would be overly upset if the site closed. I would be tipping that the players are advised not to read it.

I love this site - read it every day. Being the only Dee supporter in a family of Pies and Roos supporters, you guys keep me in the loop and strangely enough sane and informed.

I am a life member but happy to cough up some more$$.

I'm an ex MFC/MCC member and am in Italy. Just purchased my new wife, myself and our 2 dogs (yes MFC has pet memberships) new memberships, she's a Carlton supporter but bad luck! I'd be dead over here without the constant footy updates and bickering! Happy to help out.

2024 Player Reviews: #31 Bayley Fritsch

Once again the club’s top goal scorer but he had a few uncharacteristic flat spots during the season and the club will be looking for much better from him in 2025. After sustaining a torn ACL in the final match of the 2023 season Jake added a bit to the attack late in the 2024 season upon his return. He has re-signed on to the Demons for 1 more season in 2025. Date of Birth: 12 August 1991 Height: 186cm Games MFC 2024: 8 Career Total: 229 Goals MFC 2024: 8 Career Total: 188

2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. The first round draft pick at #13 from twelve months ago the strongly built medium forward has had an impressive introduction to AFL football and is expected to spend more midfield moments as his career progresses. 2024 Player Reviews: #42 Daniel Turner

The move of “Disco” to a key forward post looks like bearing fruit. Turner has good hands, moves well and appears to be learning the forward craft well. Will be an interesting watch in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #13 Clayton Oliver

Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. He carried injury right through the back half of the season and was controversially involved in a potential move during the trade period that was ultimately shut down by the club. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury.
