We're a 4 goal better side with the dropping of Brandon Jack.

He killed us last year with 4 goals.

OMG....here we go again.

Every missing player or players in an opposition team are replaced by someone.

How about just concentrating on beating whomever they put out against us.

Flashback to round 1: can't remember just who, but Saints had a mounting injury list, and posters here were in effect saying how that would make things easy for us. Result ?????

Happens several times every year and we don't improve as a result.

FCS....just beat the opposition, whomever it may be !!!!!!!

Not surprised to see McKenzie and Evans out, neither was giving us anything.

Spencer for Jamar is a bit surprising but I guess Spencer's paying the price for two rubbish games sandwiched around a decent game (against a terrible opponent).

Not sure I'm in favour of Byrnes or Salem being included though. Would have liked to see Salem ply his trade a little longer at Casey and not get picked on the back of one great game, but that's where we're at right now. I guess that also goes for Byrnes, who I don't see any future for at all, but oh well.

I guess this also means Pedersen will stay forward to be the second ruck and Dunn will stay back - hope I'm wrong about that though.

Goodes will be rusty as hell

Kinda glad hes come in to be honest

Rusty players have a habit of a good first up game against us before the rust kicks in. But here's hoping. He is 34 after all and the game does seem faster this year.

The said Adam Goodes is the Australian of the year and is said to be as strong as an...

Goodes is a massive in and has torn us to pieces in the past, but he will be as rusty as an old iron gate. But please no-one has ever effectively tagged him so don't waste a player on him this time.

Great to see Salem in. You can't ignore genuine young talent when it shines in a quality game at VFL level.

Not surprised to see Jamar come straight in. Roos' method in the past has been for an older, big bodied ruckman to hold the spot against all challengers.

A bit surprised about Byrnes, even though I am not his biggest critic. It will be interesting to see how he goes with Dawes and Frawley doing the big man work.

A bit surprised about Watts being kept in.

Unfortunately their midfield will kill us.

All this negativity..... a little overwhelming :(

I take back my match preview. It's all about playing with intensity for four quarters or at least three of them like Collingwood did today. Of course we don't have a Swan, Pendlebury, Sidebottom or Beames either.

We bring in more experience with Jamar and Byrnes.

I have a feeling Mckenzie days as a footballer are nearly finished.

Nearly finished?? was lucky to be drafted in the first place, average tagger, no upside or ancillary position, limited skills and we gave him a three year deal!! dohhh!

Not a great footballer, but McKenzie's played some good games for us. Didn't he shut down Gazza last year to a handful of touches? Adelaide were very keen for him to go back there a number of years ago when he was on our rookie list, and they were a very good team then......unlike us. Maybe he's been 'Melbournised'.

Maybe he was just not that good at the start

Jamar and Salem are both good ins in my opinion, but Byrnes will need to do more around the forward line than just get on the end of a couple of cheap ones, hopefully Byrnes is sub because he doesn't have the ability to play well for 4 quarters.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

    TRAINING: Thursday 9th January 2025

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
