Wingard aint leaving port.

Carlton have apparently had a crack at Wines already

Andrew Moore - 33 touches, 6 clearances, 8 i50s and 3 goals last week in the SANFL.

Buddha Hocking is his coach, and reckons he's playing like an afl midfielder.

Wouldn't cost too much in a trade.

You'd hope not, no.

Mind you, was pick 9 in the same draft Tapscott was pick 18.

Straight swap?

Can only ask them, I don't know that there would be much interest in Tappy

hope we have a huge dip at Ollie Wines

Agreed that Wingard won't leave Port, manipulated the draft to get there and threatened GWS if they picked him up. Would love to have Wines, would be great seeing him and his best mate Viney run around the park together.

O'Rourke has good skills, can find the football and moves really well.

I think he'd be a handy addition to MFC, but I wouldn't be giving away an early pick for him.

If GWS could come up with a suitable deal, where we get O'Rourke and a top 10 pick - then they can have our Frawley compo.

His possession counts are low for a key midfielder. Even in junior levels he couldnt find consistent footy

How could we get Wines? He doesn't come up for free agency for what, another 6 years? Would have to trade for him. Couldn't imagine Port giving him up for an unknown draft pick, regardless of how high.

Exactly, and that's why we won't get him. We're going along just nicely, but you can't help to think IF Wines was in our team.

Some people are just stuck on the Toump v Wines debate, time to move on, Jimmy still has time and he could well end up being a gun. Time will tell.

OH FFS

Fletch is still in the best 22 of a Top 8 side as is Boomer

Bradley was in Carltons best half dozen and club captain when he finished up

Tuck best 22 Premiership Captain

Junior was our captain and best 22 moved on to early

The comparisons are so similar to Ryan O'Keefe

Agree 'Pennant', and the other thing about these players is none of them are built like tanks as RoK is. The durable players in AFL are not heavily built and don't have to carry around extra Kilos (even as muscle) that take a big toll on the body.

I seem to recall reading in Moore's pre-draft bio that he was hoping to get picked up by the Dees.

Joe Pass - good guitarist. Not much of a footballer I hear.

More than a good guitarist 'chook', definitely a hall of famer...but yep wasn't known for his footy skills.

I really hope we take at least one of our high picks to the draft, have a feeling if we have the chance and pass on Petracca we might well regret it in time.

you don't think RO'K could be in the swans best 22, if they weren't trying to hang onto their kids, so as to not lose them. like they lost lamb last year.

you oughta take up drama PsD, you act like it. :)

Are you serious

No he is not in their best 22 clearly that is why he is not playing and it has nothing to do with trying to keep the kids

If I'm into drama you're either clueless in regard to footy or this is a comedy act

O'Keefe will still play another 2 years, he is a natural footballer who apparently lives a VERY clean lifestyle.

Having guys like Cross and O'Keefe on our list, is our way of teaching kids an AFL way of life - like Ablett does on the GC.

We need to fast track our youth, having older heads around is essential.

Why do people keep bringing up dream options like Wingard and Wines and Fyfe and Dangerfield here.

Happy to talk about ROK here because it is actually quite realistic.

Roosy used to rate him highly at the Swans, he's a tall-bodied midfielder which Roosy likes and none of the flag-challengening clubs are going to be interested in him because he's 34 in Jan. Can you imagine Hawthorn, which wanted him five years or so ago and has depth to kill for, actually saying yes to him now?

He's also almost certainly going to be a delisting which means we can pick him up as an uncontracted player like we did for Crossy and offer him a one-year deal.

The only clubs we have to vie for him are St Kilda, Brisbane, Suns and GWS who may want him to add experience to their youthful line-ups.

We don't really have a youthful line-up because Roosy prefers older, seasoned bodies like Ross Lyon, so he's got to be a big chance of coming to us.

Obviously he's no longer quick enough to be a gamebreaker, but I've heard he's still hard at it for Swans reserves and trains with intent - so maybe another good role model to go with Crossy.

My gut feel is that he'll be more like Shannon Byrnes, clogging up our list, but so long as we don't offer him more than a year, I have no problem with it.

The only caveat on us getting him, in my view, is that if we make a huge play for Nick Malceski, as I suspect we will, then I don't really think we can pick up two 30-plus year olds to go with Cross and Jamar. One more old boy is enough. Having said that I still think Malceski will resign with Swans once they figure out how to pay him more.

Craig Bird is out of contract at the Swans,

pick 3 for Mitchell and Bird?

GWS want Petracca. Watch the make up of their side when they play us. It will resemble Carlton's Kreuzer cup team.

And they could come out publicly and admit to tanking and the AFL wouldn't even say a word

GWS mysteriously dropped Scully for this week. Cameron gone for surgery to.

The Tank is definitely on

Surely dropping Scully does nothing but improve their chances of winning?
