Players to target at the end of the year

Featured Replies

Since Schroeder was delisted I'd consider picking him up. He looked good at VFL level and difficult to break into cats side. Only thing to consider is why someone of the calibre was delisted- U'd think maybe he didn't buy into the geelong culture? then if so maybe he wouldn't be a great pick up.

Random but how about Matthew Wright from Adelaide. I love the way he plays footy... hard as nails, does the one percenters and has good skills. Was ripping it up in Adelaides midfield in the preseason but was played in the forward line all year. I rekon he could be a smoky if he was put into the midfield.

We are mad if we overlook Schroder. 21yo. Huge talent. Ready to shine.

injuries, injuries, injuries.

But i agree. plenty of potential there.

Are all delisted players delisted free agents, so we can pick up as many as we like, ala Gwilt, Schroeder, Burbury, etc. regardless of years of service?

What's the point of the PSD then? Purely for clubs trying to retain players that refuse to sign contracts, but haven't played for 8years?

Vickery is a poor mans Josh Fraser. I didn't even think that was possible.

We need some skill in the back line, although if we can boost our midfield again Vince could move to the back flank.

come on pipe, no one is really that bad...

  • PREVIEW: Brisbnae

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
