I see where this is going Song

You don't give a TOSS about midgets!

The Saints may not give a TOSS about midgets either, but they sure get fired up about them

This game will be significantly closer than what people anticipate. We shot ourselves in the foot through bad kicking against St Kilda and we are a much better side at the G(perhaps more so with an improved midfield).

Not brave enough to predict a win but will be surprised if the margin is over 30 points.

Ps- for what it's worth, this is a game I would have loved Michael Evans in. Knows how to find space and I would have thought that he could cause headaches if allowed to float around half forward.

Love your optimism RTG, can i have some of what you're having?

Don't know why we bothered with Roos, we could have just rotated some of the luminaries from Demonland through the coaches role.

They could save us money and we would obviously win the flag every year as well.

T is your Demon emblem sitting down and crapping up there? Maybe on us demonlanders as we spew forth a myriad of.... well....

We seem to have lost all/any pre season enthusiasm already, my guess is we will lose by around 25 points.

I think the overall enthusiasm ddropped in direct correlation to the withdrawl of one fwd after another.

Funny that

For fack sake, cut Jack Watts some slack. He played well last week. What did you want him to do? He may play well or he may play poorly this week. If he plays poorly then do your thing and get stuck into him. But until then try being reasonable.

he looked at the stats sheet, saw a zero in the tackles column and decided to focus on that - instead of what intelligent people do, and look at the impact he had on the match - which was his best ever and our BOG as stated by Roos himself.

There is no doubt that the MFC has the least amount of talent on an AFL list.

Mark Neeld killed any spirit.

You tell them WYL. Neeld was never able to establish the spirit the team demonstrated on 31 July, 2011 and the weeks that followed at the end of the season before he took over. He murdered the fabulous spirit of that fateful day you refer to often as 186 and for that he should be tarred, feathered and burnt at the stake.

Fact is, Neeld wasn't much chop as coach but thankfully the club isn't wasting its time on the carp you espouse and it wouldn't help anyway.

So are you complaining about talent or spirit?

St Kilda is 2-0 because of spirit/effort and luck. Not talent. Some accuracy in front of goal and they'd be 0-2. I don't think they're any more talented than we are.

I don't think we were too bad on the spirit thing last week. Effectively, we've managed to get hold of the ball more than 400 times in the two NAB Challenge games and the one AFL game that we've played so far in which statistics are kept and in all of those games we've had well below our best forward line set up. Our execution might not have been great but I don't think we've played without spirit under Roos and I don't expect that to change tomorrow.

It's their relentless attack on the ball or anyone that stands in their way that impresses me.

We have shown some spirit but they ooze it.

that even despite the comment by Roos.( yep same one ) ...very gracious for mine. "Watts was good with ball in hand"....in other words...thats the only time he was effective. thats not good enough these days

not all capable of looking outside the square it seems

Watts game is nowhere near a multidimentional effort thats needed. He has very little defensive game, he needs to get one.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak
