We owe Mitch Robinson plenty.....

When do we play Carlton again?!

Even if Pigdog's not at full fitness, I hope the match committee select him for this game. Match ups are a relevant consideration after all ...

Saturday 12th April

However you may not get your wish as Robinson is not a regular starter at the Blues nowadays.

You may have to rely on Casey.

From the bootstudder to the President your known and loved.

And that's how you keep the post count ticking over. Garbage like that.

I'm glad he made that bruise free footy comment! Woke up the entire playing group!!

*has visions of Robinson backing into a marking contest and Jesse Hogan coming the other way…..

Correct me if I am wrong jr but that was in 2011 before 186.

Six wins from 54 games later it does not seem to have changed a lot.

I reckon that supporters are more worked up about that than the players.

As well half the players from that year are gone

Mind you, Mitch Robinson, although a thug and a cretin, unfairly cops it for branding MFC as "bruise-free footballers."

It actually came from a commentator (Dermie, I believe) and Robinson was merely asked if he agreed, to which he stupidly repeated the phrase and then gave a non-committal answer.

But he did belt a casey player, giving him a concussion.

Was it Bail?

Yeah, Bennell and Morton came in for the "Bruise-Free" event which didn't aid the cause.

I missed all of the second quarter looking for my Carlton-supporting mates which was a fortunate stroke.

It was immediately before we played Essendon, I believe.

Another of our string of upsets against the bombers during those years.

doesn't that just mean he can't play for 6 weeks, which would not be unexpected

sounds like roosy wants to release one of the rookies, not hard to guess who

Unprovoked cowardly act behind the play. Bail's first & probably most severe concussion.

I would think Harmes would be ahead of Jetta based on the training reports.

I was being facetious.

I'd think it'd be Mr. Bean for an underdone Garland.

So would I , we all know what Nev offers time to try some new blood.

I've got to.

You're closing fast and I can't let someone like you catch me.

I'd die of shame.

Bail has never been the same since - no tribunal penalty, for anyone, can be severe enough for any hit to the head, especially behind play.

Thought it was Jordie.

It was Bail. Paul Wheatley remonstrated and spent the rest of the game bumping and pushing him whenever he came near.

Correct. New breed coming through.....but I reckon that interview will still be played, somewhere, sometime, some place....

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
