All about Mitch Clark

'He is getting along to the club and training in the gym and running laps on official training days and non training days.'

FFS the club is not paying him big money to train. We'll only see Mitch actually playing footy when and if he gets his head in the right place. End of story.

Let's not have mindless speculation here please.

He asked for $50k for the photographic work.

>6 weeks to get over a hammy twinge or whatever he or the club is stating is BS. It's where his head is at that's the problem.

LOL

M_9 is the poster who was so spiteful toward Clark that he said 'Clark won't bother attending the Richmond game' and that it will be a measure of his devotion.

Well, Mitch Clark is not the one found lacking.

Where do you get this $4it? Never had a hobby? Bit twisted over somebody letting you down? The guy is trying, is respected and when he comes back I cannot imagine you standing in front of him. Get over it.

Did you know Jonesy has started the same hobby, Photography, should be some interesting shots while surfing .

So you can do both...

Thanks for posting this! I showed my girlfriend who already had a crush on Nathan Jones. She just messaged me to tell me she's now fully converted to the Dees.

Please Mandee don't worry - he's just trolling and very poorly at that. if he had a bit a trolling skill he'd post something like:

I don't want to scare anyone sat but my girlfriends uncle is a leading foot surgeon and Clark has been seeing him regularly of late (starting around the time he did his 'hammy'). The suggestion is he will struggle to get back on the park at all. I wonder if his increased interest in photography is about planning for life after football. Fingers crossed though.

By the by the above is not true in any way.

Thanks for your concern.

M Underscore 9 is aptly named, it probably describes his/her life.

But whilst on the gossip trail,

I over heard a guy on the tram who knew the bloke that went out with the next door neighbor of Mitch Clarks dentists girlfriend, and they said he will play first round in the ruck and you can put your house on it!

I see what you mean. Dentist with a girlfriend is a bit hard to believe though.

AMTAW if that is your real name, are you a dentist? Do have any updates on Mitch Clark?

PS. Well done on the conversion.

As others have said, he has had a very serious, potentially career ending injury. The club is managing him conservatively to give him his best shot. He will return this season and this is when all the questions will be answered. This sort of injury will not reoccur in on the first week back, rather 3 - 8 weeks back. If he can stay on the field he is cured, if it reoccurs for a third time it is all over. Simply nothing more needs to said on this issue.

I don't think you have a good understanding of the Lisfranc injury.

It has healed and will not be prone to a repeat of the injury.

The issue is now with soft tissue injuries as a result of not training.

Nothing more.

I posted some time ago that the word I got was that his football had taken a back seat to his photography.

He reportedly approached the club to be the 'club photographer' (for payment.

Don't bank on seeing Mitch on the field any time soon. Motivation is the key issue, not fitness.

Either you're a terrible attempt at a troll, or you're far too gullible.

Hilarious either way.

Difficult though it may be for us frustrated supporters, we simply have to be patient and trust the footy department to monitor Mitch until he is 100% fit and ready to go.

I've been a supporter of this club for longer than most who post here hence I know all about patience.

I am patient when it comes to the club, but when it comes to some posters on here, my patience wears thin

And yes, I'm sure there are those who feel the same about me :-)

Hey guys,

I know this isn't a serious footy discussion type of post, but I was just thinking about our man Mitch and reading the comments about the Season Launch Dinner etc, and wondering if we could maybe make a thread to show some support to a guy who is a favourite of a lot of us.

Whatever is happening with his injury status, taking a break etc, I think we can all agree that big Mitch is our heart, and maybe we can get behind him enough that he at least knows us MFC supporters love him in the red and blue and we're behind him during this tough time.

So, in the spirit of the "Hero Messages" they do during the Olympics, how about we make this thread a place to leave some positive support for the big fella, and then maybe after a couple of days someone can post a link to this thread on his facebook page.

Thoughts? Starters?

We love you Mitch and want you to come back as soon as you can, if it takes the rest of the year and you can't play till next year then so be it, but come back and play for the mighty Dees. I know you love the club and desperately want to play and we desperately need you.

Just get better, then you can rip the opposition a new one like we know you can.

Even though he has played bugger all games I remember his games more then anyone's over the last two years. His six goals at West Coast, Nearly killing himself in marking contests against the doggies, his game down at Geelong and giving GWS a flogging before going down. He was a major reason why I went to games. This bloke never backs down and is a damn good footy player. Cheers to you Mitch "My man crush" Clark.

Yep, I'd rather wait until round 11, 12 what ever and see him fit and flying.

We supported the great Ox when he did all his knees, I'll support Mitch who has shown his willingness to give all for a club since he first rocked up to this club.

I hope he is well and gets his body (and if required life) right, then gets back playing for the club.

Best of luck Mitch.
