No worries PJ our jumper is fine. Fancy worrying about a collar! Gee, what a great recruiting spell. I hope Dom Tyson is as fast as Frank and as tough as Mike.

nice work!

I am so pumped. We all recognised three facts:

1. our midfield is putrid

2. theoretically we are solid everywhere else

3. theoretically improving the midfield through recruiting should have a huge immediate impact

4. we have the ability to make waves with a good fist of draft picks in our pocket (again)

so what has Roosy and PJ gone and done? Exactly what the doctor ordered

cannot wait til round 1

sportsbet is playing $11 to make finals.. i'm gonna plunge two hundred (maybe)

One correction C&B. Our midfield WAS putrid. One more quality mid fielder is all we need. Lets hope pick 9 delivers.

I don't understand why this point is made every single time the jumper is mentioned. Of course there are other priorities. That goes without saying. Is the jumper never to be mentioned because of that?

I think the collar looks ridiculous, and apparently many others do too.

They all look very solid types - no more Calesque skinny boys under Mr Roos.

are we the only club that has collars?

They look stupid. We are playing a contact sport not sitting in an office shuffling papers.

The current collar might not be the traditional peak collar, but collars have been around on guernsey's since the 10 rules of the MFC when there was far more contact.

Not only will pick 9 get us a good, tough on-baller, but I hope that we are still in the race for Cross. He'd be the 'icing on the cake' following what has happened this week.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
