Great work by PJ.

I know Andrew Demetriou is not popular here and I expect to be howled down but if we get a PP we should seriously think about an award in his name.

1. Denied we tanked, then hosed down the tanking wildfire started by Adrian Anderson in his absence as best he could so we ended up with feather duster penalties and AA gone.

2. Organised PJ, gave us the necessary special funding, was instrumental in the Roos signing

3. PP?

All of that is true. What tends to be overlooked though is that AD was also instrumental in the Schwab signing so perhaps he's just trying to square the ledger

Did anyone see the bit in the press conference where he said that the last 5 years the MFC have been spinning on about success yet not delivering on field. Talk about going WACK! I loved it!

I have a feeling he does not like Cam Schwab..

Don't think you will be howled down.

AD has said often the best thing for the AFL would be a strong MFC. No one on Demonland would disagree.

The PP will be decided by a sub committee but AD hopefully can assist.

We need an immediate player injection, Roos and PJ know it and so does AD.

Financial assistance will not immediately improve us onfield and that is the important thing for all of us.

Is there any way that we can show our appreciation?

We all rocked up to training that time to show support for the club but what can we do for Sir Peter Jackson The Great?

I don't want to bombard his email address as I am sure he has much to do.

Any ideas?

Make him a life member.

Yes i have often wondered about the hand over period and discussions (if there were any!!)

Jackson must have just shook his head.

As for CS i wonder if one thing went wrong, and it all just slowly fell from there no matter what he tried.

I am sure his history lessons were put in place to shield us from reality.

How many times have Landers been convinced, just convinced, that the AFL wants us to fold, merge, relocate, or any other awful thing...

The AFL don't want us to struggle, they don't want to move us, they just want to only have to worry about GC and GWS and they would be happy.

I'm thinking add him to our midfield...!

Roos has other ideas.

PJ you bloody ripper. A true brawler/bulldogger but also a very smart/fast operator. Must keep.

He's contracted till the end of 2014 right?

Hopefully he gains an emotional attachment to the Dees and sticks around longer.

If we have some success, so do I, if not I'd hate to see him become an emotional wreck like the rest of us have.

leaders don't become emotional wrecks

they work out problems

Jackson is the man entirely responsible for making the Paul Roos appointment happen and for that I can't be anymore appreciative.

There are very few out there who could walk into this club in the state it was in and make that happen.

It's pretty clear to see why he was hand-chosen by the AFL.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
