WTH !

Intravenous vitamins B and C?

If you beleive that rubbish you would have to beleive in Santa, Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy.

Intravenous Vitamin C injections are quite common. They inject about litre or so over an hour or two.

My sis, a nurse, gave me one once.

Sort of like a mega dose.

Most clinics have a supply hand at all times.

did you see the gathering at the public announcement, with politicians front & centre, & All codes represented with CEO's...

They have worked on their public relations on this fro months, I have No Doubt.

This is an Issue that must be stopped, but don't think for a second that this isn't an planned media exercise to minimise damage.

and to shoot the investigation in its own foot.

the trick is to stop this bad development into the game,, without hurting the game itself, or the public's faith.

the games power & reach, is also its weakness.

From what i could see it was just another Gillard Government screw up, they tarnished every sportsman in Australia, the worst laid plans ever, similar to the Leader invading Stalingrad, NFI.

Hows these bomber blitz quotes;

Yep, getting very unfairly treated by the media. A bit like the accusations against the Demons for tanking when they did nothing other clubs have done (not us BTW) and have to read ignorant guff in the press like deliberately not playing Sylvia in that Richmond match when in fact he was suspended that week. And accusing Melbourne of 'fumbling' - they don't have to try to do that. Demons supporters must be loving that another club is getting a raw deal from the media.
Melbourne and Essendon should play off for the Wilson/Smith Cup. Whoever wins is immune from having them write articles about them. This may be incentive enough for u to finally beat the Dees.

Pity then that the head of the ACC said the report had nothing to do with the government. He said they invited the sports minister at the same time they invited all the club CEO's to the press conference.

The Australian Crime Commission would have embarked on this investigation independently of any Government. The investigation has nothing to do Gillard and co. The resulting press conference, well thats a different story.

steady on there sue, no-one is suggesting that (even if today's choice is so pathetic - lol)

i was just struggling to see where corruption comes into it if the government convinced the acc to go public at this stage

Jason CLare has just taken over from ROxon. He wanted a big media event to announce his own arrival and he has got one.

I noticed that Dank was careful to say that he never INTRAVENOUSLY injected any Essendon players with peptides.

Well of course he bloody well didn't!

That's what the registered nurse was for...

yes, and its not the Ord, Collie, Fitzroy or Fortescue!

Judging by his WOG performance in Sorrento after the polo, I'm not surprised.

As I said at the time, I felt sorry for the bloke.

Looked a bit like Cousins at his worst, but more tranquilized.

Moreover, he's in in the all-important western suburbs of Sydney (if you think the election is actually going to be a contest)...

Those who don't think the ACC is a politicised body should ask Jack Elliott what he thinks of their forerunner, the National Crime Authority!

I think the supplements coming into our sport is too much & needs to be stopped, & especially with the advent of worldwide matchfixing & other corruptions going on. The betting thats growing into the footy culture & the implications of all this reraching players is too great.

In essence its about criminal gangs & bikies, etc.

We don't want it in our footy, or our society.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak

    MELBOURNE BUSINESS by The Oracle

In days of old, this week’s Thursday night AFL match up between the Demons and the Blues would be framed on the basis of the need to redress the fact that Carlton “stole” last year’s semi final away from Melbourne and with it, their hopes for the premiership.  A hot gospelling coach might point out to his charges that they were the better team on the night in all facets and that poor kicking for goal and a couple of lapses at the death cost them what was rightfully theirs. Moreover, now was
