I have been listening to SEN this afternoon and Robbo is on.

The Hird cheer squad is in full cry this afternoon.

I could not listen any longer even though there is only 5 minutes left.

I feel ill.

Was doing the same 'old dee' and did the same. Turned it off.

EFC Board have squibbed it on Hird...weak as...

Gobsmacked!!

I am not at all surprised.

He would have sued them and they simply cannot afford it.

Remember they have possible legal action from 34 players hanging over their heads.

In the long term this will be worse for the EFC IMO.

The pain continues and I actually will enjoy that.

Thompson to the Suns and the hole gets deeper. Maybe ONE DAY we'll all find out what actually happened at that club.....or maybe Im hoping for too much?!

What it is to have friends in the media...can you imagine what would have happened to Melb had we been in the bombers shoes! Imagine Damo.....

Somehow the actual drug taking has never been central in the reporting of this. In fact If what you read holds any weight the players are innocent, the coach is too, so is the club doctor as well as the senior assistant coach. Amazing that ALL those injections happened (that theres no records for) and everyone in charge is innocent! Not just innocent but terribly hard done by! ....amazes me.

essendon have to be going down the gurgler...surely !!

They cant keep sustaining hit after hit. Something has to give.

Am amazed they even have a sponsor to tell the truth.

How this doesnt bring the the game into disrepute I'll never understand

I wonder if Tird will continue his action in court ?

Its all a bit.........

LOL

They've demanded Hartlett from Port for Ryder.

This club is run by dillusional idiots. No player, NONE, is going to leave Port for your mob.

Good luck with that one

Tim Membry has rejected an offer to join Essendon given the circumstances the club is currently facing according to 3AW.

lol @ Essendope

I think he ended up nominating St Kilda.

Just think about that for a second, Essendon.

St Kilda.

re Bomberblitz, it continues in the usual way, dominated by people who think Hird is god, those who think the real story is the conspiracy by the AFL (though they never make it clear why the AFL would want to cause one of its major teams grief) and with the occasional non-delusional poster. This one was amusing and will be familiar to us:

Between the people with info, the people who think they have info, the people who wish they had info, the PR trolls, the blatant trolls, the Hird evangelists, the Hird haters and the posters clearly using this thread as a platform to challenge for the board...

This thread is an unreadable cluster fark. I wish I had the self control to stop reading it. But I don't...

I really really don't understand these people.

Do they really think the AFL would want to take down one of the power clubs? This is a disaster for the AFL and their precious TV rights deal as much as it is for the EFC.

I blame too much drug taking at MessyDrugs for this view and JH of course.

I presume (or hope) it is only the lunatic fringe who believe that.

Winderlich has decided to reverse his retirement decision and play on…with the Tiges!

Wants to play out his career away from the 'uncertainty' of Essendon's current situation.

There is a strong chance the Ryder case may end up at the AFL's grievance tribunal, where Ryder would argue the Bombers breached their duty of care in exposing him to the supplements program that has seen 34 players issued with show-cause notices.

BAAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

Essendon's problem is that no other club can see how it could talk an established, contracted player into signing on with the Bombers given the current uncertain environment there.

Hilarious

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well …

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
