If we can Trade pick 2 for any of Rockliff, Selwood, Swallow, Sloane or Beams and a pick in the 40's

We then trade the 40's pick for ShaneSavage

Trade Pick 51 to North for Levi Greenwood

Draft Picks

20. Dom Sheed

(Sylvia compo) 21. Zak Jones

37. Daly Garlett

Preseason Draft - Viv Michie

Delisted Free Agent - Daniel Cross

So we add to our list:

One of Rockliff, Selwood, Swallow etc.

And

Shane Savage

Levi Greenwood

Dom Sheed

Zak Jones

Dayle Garlett

Viv Michie

Daniel Cross

Jesse Hogan

That would be a pretty good trade and draft period I reckon! It's realistic too as long as we can get someone good with pick 2. If not then we just pick up Aish or Kelly.

I would be happy with that and our midfield still looks a lot better!

"Melbourne is awaiting opposition offers for its prized No.2 pick in this year's draft, having set its asking price at an established midfielder with at least eight seasons left in the tank.

Under new coach Paul Roos, the Demons are desperate to lure an opposition midfield star to boost their on-ball division.

Giants Dylan Shiel and Taylor Adams, West Coast's Luke Shuey and Essendon's David Myers are among the midfielders who have already been linked with Melbourne"

they wouldnt of just thought that up must be some sort of logic in the rumour

A few years ago a mate who is a Kangaroos supporter posted a bs trade on the Roos forum and stated it from sources "inside the club" that at face value appeared feasible just to see what the reaction would be.

Within half an hour, blokes were ringing up SEN with it.

People post all sorts of crazy crap at this time of the year............believe none of it unless it comes from the club.

If we end up with picks 20 and 21 after we have traded pick 2 for an established mid and we have lost Col in the FA, is there any horse trading we can do to swap our picks down to 15 to 19 for example to try and get our hands on the likes of Dunston or Sheed etc. do we need to cough up a player just to get a swap down plus a lesser player etc? Just trying to think outside the square perhaps.

I think we will know in the next couple of days whether we have a trade for pick 2. Can't see it being strung out, the club said they would look at offers over the weekend and I'm sure that would also involve the SANFL GF.

    DERAILMENT by KC from Casey

It wasn’t quite a trainwreck although at times, it sure looked like one, so I’ll settle for “derailment”.  The trip to Brighton Homes Arena in Springfield outside the back of Brisbane might not exactly be the same place where Homer Simpson’s family resides but, if you listened closely to the utterances of the Casey Demons fans both at the ground or watching via livestream, you could hear lots of groaning and plenty of expressions of “D'oh!” reverberating in the background, particular

TEN YEARS AFTER by Whispering Jack

Things have changed in the more than ten years since the West Coast Eagles decimated Melbourne by 93 points on the MCG early in the 2014 season. The two sides had not met at the home of football in the interim until yesterday when Melbourne won by a comfortable 54 points to remain in contention for this year’s finals series. Back in those days, the Demons were in the midst of their Great Depression but they have since tasted premiership glory and experienced a long enough period among

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

It’s game day and the Demons return to Melbourne to play the Eagles at the MCG for the first time in over a decade. A win keeps the Dees finals hopes alive whereas a loss will almost certainly slam the finals window shut.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
