I have never enjoyed reading Demonland as much as right now.

We deserve to revel in victory! The joy, enthusiasm and passion is enough to make you shed a tear.

Lap it up fellow Demons, nothing will dampen this day, its one we will remember for years to come.

And to Jimmy , today you would be the proudest of us all. You set this club on path back to greatness, and today we have taken one almighty step forward. Wish you were here to see the smiles on the faces of the most loyal and passionate fans. Rest easy big fella, our club is in the best of hands.

I was one who said he would never come - I am happy to admit it.

I am obviously not very good at reading between the lines - I usually take no as a no..... oh you little devil Roosy!

I just love it that in the past we would have given up, but PJ stuck at it!

Nice work on the banner Demonland!

You can already see the difference in culture - we are now allowed to smile.

I think this is about as close as Neeld got to smiling - actually I think that's the only emotion he showed in 18 months

But that was the previous coach

Can Roos change the clubs fortunes in 2 years? - I think he could in 3 years but if he won't be taking us to any grand final in 3 years :(

Still - we have two years to make him stay for longer - lets get to it!

But for now demonlanders - get some sleep.

May suggest a well constructed succession plan. It will be the FD team around Roosy that will perhaps be more important in the long run.

I step in to the shower when Paul Roos isn't coach. When I get out, Roos is coach. I should shower more often.

Lol - I can just imagine that is your first shower in a month too. You decided to take a minutes break from refreshing the AFL/MFC page

Ahhhhhh relief. Now the hard work starts. Well done MFC and PJ (AFL). And all the best for Roos and his assistants-to-be.

Roos always left the door ajar with his comments throughout. And everyone involved including his family should be proud of the way he went about it. Integrity.

One more piece of uncut, confirmed news.

MFC wanted 5 years, but Paul Roos would not commit. However, Paul Roos verbally said he WILL coach beyond 2 years and beyond 3 years if all is going well. Roos wanted an out should admin, board etc fail to maintain the structure and standards he requires.

This should keep the entire organisation in line.

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
