Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

nothing to do with hardness mate

and if you think hes tough because of that your dreaming

its nothing but private schoolboy tuff

hes a little greasy tuurd that is not a leaders bootlace and blokes like him lead yopung players astray

And if it was schoolboy stuff it would be in line with the rest of the MFC game plan 2012-2013

Brent gave a lot to mfc and helped a lot of the young guys. I loved his toughness and depth kicking but he was not getting to clearances and his offfield antics especially lately clearly did not put him in the role model or leadership category. When he gets over it I think he will realise what HE has done. We have all had to accept criticism at times; often we don't like it but we need to think about it and act on it. It takes maturity. I would have dearly loved an older player to stand up as a captain but we didn't have one who ticked ALL boxes. I think our current captains have shown great maturity but also we now how a few more senior players likewise (eg Jones Garland Clark Dawes and Davey who has stood up again) I applaud Mark for working hard at getting the right culture at our club. Clearly we have a way to go.

The midfield is now the worst in the competition by a country mile.

Moloney's forced departure has played a colossal part in that happening.

Neeld made a big mistake on this one (as much as he wants to deny it) and might still have a job if not for burning this bridge.

Why is Beamer not allowed to call him on it?

If we still had Moloney we would have the worst midfield by what? A city mile?

The MFC midfield with Moloney in it wouldn't be the worst (easily better than GWS). Without him and with a little help from Neeld, it's not only the worst but the worst by a lot.

How much better did Jones look without the heavy tag?

Moloney has every right to voice his opinion. Players are not robots and also have a voice.

If you he wants to give some light hearted banter then good on him.

Neeld was a royal jack*ss that got his just desserts.

Light hearted banter?

51426-The-lord-is-testing-me--Commun-GOt

Saying that Neeld losing his job is karma for not giving Moloney captaincy and playing him in the VFL is light hearted banter?

Seemed to have alot of venom in it to me.

Don't kick someone when their down. It was a dog act and did nothing to strengthen the negative stigma around him.

Also did you ever meet Neeld? Ever have a chat to him?

He was a hard bloke, frank but polite and wasn't a jackass.

He did what the club wanted him to do: get rid of the dead weight and change the lazy culture. Moloney epitomised that when he put himself before the team. Good riddance.

I don't think anyone can say that I have ever bagged out any of our players.

So called supporters who cowardly bag out players, especially club champions from our club like green davey and moloney, such be bannished, because it is these so called supporters who create the toxic culture.

If I was on the board, I would have zero tolerance for these supporters almost regarding them as vermin.

I call a spade a spade, and it still makes me sick how supporters can bag out club champions. Go support the filth will ya, we don't need people like you in our stands.

Why treat the players poorly when you can bag out the supporters of the club rather than trying to win them over and convert them into members? If you managed to get on the board with that attitude the club would definitely go down the gurglar.

It's important to have emotionally intelligent people on the board. Safe to say you don't meet that criteria.

Oh yes. Because the midfield last year with Moloney in it was brilliant.

Unfortunately for those who didn't like Neeld, Moloney brought this upon himself. He was petulant and responded to Neeld in an immature and unprofessional way, and he was treated accordingly (i.e. being dropped). His response to that was to leave the club. So be it.

To then take pleasure in Neeld being sacked is just another instance of petulance and immaturity. Even if that's genuinely how he felt, saying so on social media was inappropriate, rude, and wrong.

Not sure what Moloney expected from a new coach coming to the club. True, he was the reigning b & f but he had been involved in that night club incident and had also tried to leave the club at the end of the season. That to me already suggests he had a fractured relationship with the club and to expect special treatment and an easy entree to the captaincy in those circumstances would have been delusional.

Surely his own actions can't come into play here...

The ability to play the victim had to be one of the behaviours the players voted on...it's just what a struggling club needs in a leader!

Thanks Queen, but the club needs culture change, and frankly, we would be a stronger club if we had a re-build of our culture by challenging all fickle and weak supporters that have the audacity to bag out club champions. There are probably 5000 of you. Either change your ways or [censored].

I cringe every time some of you people bag out Davey, Moloney, Watts, Jurrah, Green, whoever. It is really poor form. If you guys had ever played the game, you would realize that it is bloody hard, firstly to get fit enough to play, and secondly, to back up good games week after week for 10 years.

So Queeny, I stand by my words, supporters that bag out our club champions are nothing but vermin. We don't need you.

We stand for something different.

MFC supporters have a bit more class than that.

If you want to be scoundrels, go support the filth.

Yeah 'tona', there are a few on here who bag out players...call them all kinds of names. Personally I'm not a big fan of that. There are also a lot on here, myself included who are critical of players and put up a good argument as to why. I see nothing wrong with that, it's what makes the football part of the football world go round.

being critical of players is like being critical of Soldiers that are fighting for your country. They are risking their bodies for you, so you must be contructive in the criticism.

Over the last 2 years, especially on this site, I have witnessed many of you put your whole faith behind an unproven, arrogant, delusional, inflexible man from Collingwood, at the expense of club champions like Brent Moloney.

I have heard many of you bag out Aaron Davey, Jurrah, Wona with little empathy for their history or cultural background.

I have heard you pay out on lifelong players like Jamar, Dunn, McKenzie, Rivers, Garland, Frawley & Sylvia.

I have heard you being extremely critical of kids like Watts, Toumpas and even Jones a couple of years back.

I have heard you call our playing group pathetic, lazy, undisciplined, unmotivated, and a waste of space, yet, some of you laud players from other clubs like Byrnes, Rodan and Seller.

If you call that supporting football, go support the filth.

Interesting few little snippets regarding Brent in Jon Ralph's article this morning. Explained that Moloney disagreed with Neeld's game plan of having Jamar tapping to all midfielders rather than just Beamer, and made reference to Beamer telling players on field that they should ignore Neeld's instructions and just let Jamar tap it down to him.

No wonder he won the B&F and had as many disposals as he did, he bullied Trengove and Jordie, et al into going against what the coach was trying to implement. Wasn't until the playing group had a say in who the true leaders were before the coaching staff and the rest of us were made aware of how our external view was incorrect.

What absolute rubbish mate.

Well, Football is like civilized warfare. You have clubs (countries), presidents, Boards (political parties) members (citizens), soldiers (players), coaches (generals), support staff (workers) and the AFL (united nations).

I know it is not life and death, but the priniciple applies. Football is a metaphor for life as a whole. you can learn a lot from footy, and people should learn not to bag out our loyal players.

Has someone real upset you mate?

I don't disagree with your sentiment abbot bagging players and in particular Club champions,

But free speech is also important and sometime people simple have to vent, but hopefully in the right way.

If any thing can be learned over the past five years is members need to speak up sooner and not just let thing slide.

That said there is a pity offensive post about a young Brad Green and I wont say what I now think of the person who posted it.

I got more than sympathy, the bloke bled red and blue. Brought up a supporter and did heaps of extra stuff around the club to motivate the youngsters like his boxing camp for Rookies.

He was also arguably the teams most vocal onfield leader, frequently firing up the boys during a match.

Leadership comes in many forms and Beamer definately had some leadership that was vitally missed.

Sorry, but you people are in la-la land.

Yes, he'd be playing for us. Yes, he'd still be playing crap, unaccountable, inconsistent football.

Hooray for him.

And as for being our most vocal onfield leader, spare me. I could stand in the middle of the G waving my arms and yelling. In fact, memo to the FD - here I am and I'll take a bargain basement wage of $200k to do it. Sign me up.

while yesterdays comment may not have been his brightest moment.

I have a little sympathy for BM.

He gave the MFC his best and I believe he would still be playing with us if not for the change to Neeld.

He feels vindicated, and after all he is playing in a better side were he feels valued.

His nemesis is unemployed.

Surely that says something!

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak

    MELBOURNE BUSINESS by The Oracle

In days of old, this week’s Thursday night AFL match up between the Demons and the Blues would be framed on the basis of the need to redress the fact that Carlton “stole” last year’s semi final away from Melbourne and with it, their hopes for the premiership.  A hot gospelling coach might point out to his charges that they were the better team on the night in all facets and that poor kicking for goal and a couple of lapses at the death cost them what was rightfully theirs.
