I will be honest I thought Peter Jackson was basicaly playing musical chairs (comes in for Schwab and then leaves in 6 months). I underestimated the ability/power of a CEO and thought he would basicaly do very little. Well looks like I was wrong - CEO's seem to be the spine of the football club (who would have guessed judging by Schwabs known influence). He seems to be willing to make the decisions that for so long we haven't been able to make. Although I am now skeptical - how much power does this guy have? can we put our faith in basically one person who seems to report to a board meeting once a month?

Anyway ............. Let the heads roll Jackson!

Maybe that is exactly the explanation for our current position - no spine anywhere. Lets hope that PJ lives up to his expectations and delivers: we have seen that he can elsewhere, given the right environment and structure and support.

GO DEES.

The thing I love about Peter Jackson is that I love hearing him speak. There's no pre-thought up lines or well-worn cliches, no smug smile and no condescending tone. He's honest, knowledgeable and gives full, respectful answers with a tone of respect. Like he's not hiding from the truth, and doesn't feel he needs to do so to protect his position. I always felt with Schwab that he was trying to give me a condescending reach-around. I couldn't stand to hear him speak, and if people don't want to listen to the CEO then you're in trouble.

As for Peter Jackson, sign me up for his newsletter and send me his audiobooks for Christmas, loving his presence at the club so far.

Agree - can't wait for Peter Jacksons 'Whiteboard Wednesdays'!!!

So that's what Schwab got around to when he wasn't desk shopping ...............

No faith in anything anymore except the promise of death one cold grey day.

What point is there?

It's all a vain struggle against the inevitable .

Hope this Stoic reality provides you all with some solace .

Great to have a decisive , baggage-free administrator in PJ . Never understood the aura around the off-field Garry Lyon particularly as he supported his mate Tiger Ridley during the merger kerfuffle .

Reminds me of my CEO who is also a [censored] that uses big words to justify cutting bonuses, pay rises and promotions.

At least Schwab genuinely loved the club and spent the cash on desks, and not paying off lawsuits.

Can Peter Jackson do Tuesday Blackboard Nights?

I got upset when he opened his month. He needs to threw away the text book and really try and understand what he is saying.

The guys does not have a clue.

Yeah I believe the loan was paid back in full. To be honest I don't understand peoples negativity toward young Schwab. One day we will all come to appreciate Cams real legacy. The finest collection of office desks ever assembled by any sporting organisation in the world !

So who voted No to being unhappy with Peter Jacksons appointment? Was it you Cameron.

Was the 5 who voted against having faith in Peter Jackson judgement, Mark Neeld, Cameron Schwab, Don Mclardy, Tim Harrington and Guy Jalland by any chance?

    DERAILMENT by KC from Casey

It wasn’t quite a trainwreck although at times, it sure looked like one, so I’ll settle for “derailment”.  The trip to Brighton Homes Arena in Springfield outside the back of Brisbane might not exactly be the same place where Homer Simpson’s family resides but, if you listened closely to the utterances of the Casey Demons fans both at the ground or watching via livestream, you could hear lots of groaning and plenty of expressions of “D'oh!” reverberating in the background, particular

TEN YEARS AFTER by Whispering Jack

Things have changed in the more than ten years since the West Coast Eagles decimated Melbourne by 93 points on the MCG early in the 2014 season. The two sides had not met at the home of football in the interim until yesterday when Melbourne won by a comfortable 54 points to remain in contention for this year’s finals series. Back in those days, the Demons were in the midst of their Great Depression but they have since tasted premiership glory and experienced a long enough period among

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

It’s game day and the Demons return to Melbourne to play the Eagles at the MCG for the first time in over a decade. A win keeps the Dees finals hopes alive whereas a loss will almost certainly slam the finals window shut.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
